Awesome birthday gift. Super fun and educational to see a cause and effect. Great value for the money. Would buy again.

My 9 year old son loved this toy. The egg took a while to dissolve which made me happy. It got a little messy but wiped up no problem and of course, my son didn't mind the mess. Once he got to the creature, he thought it was fun finding the "kind" that it was, especially when it turned out to be "rare." Overall, a fun toy and we will likely be getting more to add to the collection.

We were so excited when this kit arrived. We have enjoyed Learning Resources in the past and were excited to jump in. But not so fast! Almost all of the experiments required addition items like glue, corn starch, and more. However it does state that you can use common household ingredients. Most of which we had on hand like conditioner, but not corn starch. Thankfully most of the items needed were inexpensive or we already had. Sp once we did start it was a lot of fun. Educational and fun, so that is a win win in my book. A great way to keep young minds sharp this summer!

My 6 yr old looooooves his beaker creatures. We have a few different sets. The experiments are cute and age-appropriate. As other reviewers have warned, though, the cost does not stop with this one set (though I guess it could, technically). Your child will want to find more creatures, which means you'll have to buy more reactor pods. So the cost can add up. But they really are fun to do.

My kids love beaker creatures but the pods are little expensive to get all of the time and I don’t want to amass too many. You are able to make new pods with the creatures you already have. The kids love doing the “experiments”; following the directions, measuring, pouring. The “experiments” are easy and not too messy. This is also a great gift.

I'm giving it three stars because everything worked like it was supposed to but honestly I don't understand how this is a "learning" or "stem" toy. It's basically a much more expensive bath bomb with a choking hazard inside. There are much better experiment kits out there for cheaper price points.

I ordered this for my 6 year-old grandson and here’s his mom’s text: “The alien experiment lab was a big hit. One of his favorites so far.” He has several of their Beaker Creatures” kits and more than 40 of the various pods - and at his upcoming party each kid will place a pod in a reactor and take the creature home. He loves to play scientist - and the fizzing, eruption of colors, and cool creatures to collect are stimulating and perfect for a 6 year-old boy!!

This was a perfect rainy day surprise for my kids (ages 6 and 9). They loved it! The kit includes a book full of “experiments” that were easy for the kids to follow and mostly used items you may already have on hand in your house! The slime experiment made the “best slime ever” according to my 9 year old.

Laboratorio de experimentos alienígenas Beaker Creatures, es en realidad un juego para hacer experimentos químicos básicos, para niños con una edad mínima de 5 años. Este juego utiliza la temática alienígena, para darle más diversión, consiguiendo que los niños aprendan y experimenten sin darse cuenta, mientras están disfrutando. Los instrumentos que componen este kit en verdad son simples; dos envases para echar líquidos y hacer los potingues, una especie de jeringuilla, un molde y un soporte para las cápsulas reactivas. Las cápsulas reactivas son una especie de huevos que se deshacen y contienen figuritas de alienígenas distintos y coleccionables. Aparte de estos elementos contiene un libro de instrucciones en inglés, que cualquier niño de los que van en la actualidad a un colegio bilingüe puede entender perfectamente, pero además para su ayuda, contiene unas instrucciones no verbales. Los experimentos que se pueden hacer son slime y líquidos burbujeantes que se realizan con elementos básicos existentes en cualquier casa; agua, bicarbonato, jabón líquido, vinagre, colorante alimenticio, papel de cocina, pegamento líquido blanco, espuma de afeitar, harina, sal, zumo de limón ….

Very disappointing - my daughter said they haven't been able to use it to make the slime as it required the extra purchase of all the ingredients , many of which were American. I would have thought everything would have been included for that price ! It just ended up being more unnecessary plastic junk.

My son is obsessed with these. Found this set had an egg that didn't really do anything just instantly collapsed in the water with no reaction or anything, but learning resources were great with sending a replacement egg! Great slime and dough recipe ideas and lots of fun.

My nephew loved it!

What is included is ok...it is what is not included. Its just the plastic pieces and 2 aliens. If you are going to buy this, be prepared to make or supply your own slime, putty, and play doh.
