Overall the case seems well built for the price and should wear well with light to moderate use. It is padded on the inside. I bought the case for GPSMAP 78SC; it fits well within the case with room to spare above or below the unit. You could easily use the extra space to store spare batteries or other small devices. The only thing that raised an eyebrow is the zipper. It does not zip down equally on both sides of the case.
