This is the best source of all things Paw Paw that we have found! Everything essential you need or want to know is here in one convenient place. Well written with great explanations and pictures. Paw Paws are native to where we live but rare now and we are making a concerted effort to have them on the property for the novelty but the fruit is amazing and unique as well. For anyone curious or especially for those who wish to propagate Paw Paw trees, we strongly recommend this book!

Michael Judd has left no stone unturned in this book. If you love pawpaws - whether growing, eating or both then you will love this book. It covers everything you need to know about growing pawpaws no matter if it is a couple in the backyard or if your interested in putting in an orchard. Everything you need to know is here. The coverage of varieties is excellent and each is well described. The photographs are excellent and many. While I have not tried any of the recipes...yet, there are quite a number of them and most were developed by different chefs just for this book. All look very good. There is even a section on making cocktails with the fruit. If you like pawpaws this is a must have.

I loved this book. The author gives a rundown on the pawpaw tree from the standpoint of respect for the earth. It is easy to discern that he is not explaining the pawpaw tree as something which can be manipulated to produce at its max, but rather his explanation takes into account his history with the tree and goes deeper into the important points of growing the pawpaw than one might find from a grower who is less involved with a planet-care perspective. Of course, this is just my take. I found this book to be enlightening and highly practical and informative! I suggest that anyone read it and be ready to enjoy!

Wow!!! I am blown away on how easy this is to read. I just got it yesterday and I'm soaking it up like a sponge. It covers everything you would want or need to know about Paw Paws. I can't wait to try some of the recipes. It is a must have for anyone who is interested in planting, harvesting or foraging for Paw Paws. It is to the point and very well done. Absolutely Love it!

I've been growing paw paw by seeds and I have lots of questions and this book is wonderful. I only wish I would have ordered this book last year but just super happy to have it in my gardening library. I'm planning on telling others how much I really am enjoying this book.

This book is the only one if its kind that I have found that is an awesome read where you learn a lot, but it is also an awesome reference manual that I have already gone back to several times. The research on different plant varieties is awesome and has given me new direction on some of my varieties. The author's personal experience and guidance on how to grow the plants will be extremely useful in the Paw Paw orchard I'm currently putting in.

Pretty extensive compilation of pawpaw varieties, planting and grafting technique, general care, and even recipes! Great list of resources at the end too. Highly recommended!
