My car AC broke down about 5 months ago. After trying more than 6 used compressors (I stopped counting) and so much time and money wasted. I finally decided to buy the Denso OEM spec compressor. I found it on Amazon, ordered it and had it shipped to me in Lagos.It works perfectly. No vibrations, I can barely hear it working and it cools real good, even in the Tropical heat at full strength in the afternoons.One of the best decisions I ever made. Five stars all the way!!!!!

Avoid
TRASH bought this product in May 2024 and it has been giving us issues. Sent an email to the retailer and the said no warranty. They were rude and dismissed me when I asked if they had a solution. They said no. Avoid purchasing from this retailer.

It's working so far!
The Honda dealer diagnosed the A/C issue in my 2006 Honda Civic EX as a faulty A/C Coil and recommended replacing that and the A/C Clutch. They were asking WAY too much for the parts and labor. I looked online and this brand new compressor was cheaper than what the dealer was charging for just those two parts. The labor was going to be essentially the same either way.Instead of using the dealer, I had a local mechanic install it and recharge the coolant system. It ended up being less than half the price the dealer had quoted. So far so good, and perfect timing with the recent heat wave!If anything changes in the future I'll update the review.

Plug tail too short
The plug tail was about an inch too short but I managed to make it work. The compressor works great once installed and I saved myself about $800 dollars by doing the work myself. THE COMPRESSOR COMES PRE LOADED WITH OIL SO DON'T BUY THAT.

Good price on OEM compressor
The part fit. I had my mechanic install it. I think the generic one would have worked but I wanted buy once, cry once and be done. This is probably just the thing you need to get that A/C blowing cold on those 8th generation Civics that have that a/c clutch coil pattern failure. Installation is NOT for shade tree mechanics unless you have refrigerant capture equipment. Even then its a lot of dissembling. My advice is get a good mechanic and treat him or her like GOLD.

AC Compressor
My AC compressor is working now like a charm on my ‘09 Honda Civic. I hope it will last for awhile since it’s a Denso. Package is intact no damage on the merchandise.
