## Overview

The Alpinetech Guitar Kill Switch is a 22mm stainless steel momentary push-button designed for quick sound interruption. It mounts easily in a 19mm hole and works by shorting the guitar signal to ground when pressed, creating a dynamic stutter effect. Compatible with passive and active pickups, this durable switch is a must-have for guitarists seeking instant tonal control and stage presence.

## Description

By pushing down the switch it momentarily kills the sound to create a stuttering or so-called "machine gun" sound effect. When the button is released it will restore the sound instantly. Easy to install, just wire one side to the negative and one side to the positive of the guitar output jack. The mounting cut hole needed is 19mm or 3/4".

Review: Very good quality switch - Very nice kill switch. Seems to be fairly durable and looks awesome. Works great with passive or active pickups. Please take note that this is an OPEN switch. That means NO signal passes through between its contacts. The way it works is that it SHORTS a circuit when depressed. So make sure you install the switch with SIGNAL wire on one contact and GROUND on the other. It will then short your signal back to ground to interrupt or “KILL” the signal. DO NOT INSTALL IT ON THE ACTUAL BATTERY WIRES. Other than that it installs easy providing you don’t mind drilling a 19mm hole in the body. If you don’t use your tone pot then this is a great location for your kill switch. Good luck.

Really awesome switch, it worked really well and I especially liked that there was no soldering needed unlike other killswitches. Looks great on my guitar and it is really responsive.
