It's right, it fits, and it works like it should.
My AC was blowing warm air, and it was 105 degrees out, not even counting the heat index. I figured the capacitor was the problem again, since it seems to go out every two or three years. After testing the old one, I just replaced it. Now the AC is working great and blowing cold air. It was an easy fix, and the new part fit perfectly. I saved some money by doing it myself.

Absolute lifesaver in the brutal Florida heat
I ordered this replacement, and it arrived incredibly fast. Swapping it out took less than 15 minutes, and my compressor kicked right back to life, blasting freezing cold air again. This cheap part saved me from an expensive emergency HVAC service call and a weekend of melting inside my own house. If you live in Florida, keep one of these as a spare!

Happy
Save you tons of money if you know how to replace it by your self. Fast delivery. I told the company what I need and they asked $375 for the part and labor(took me less than 10 min to do it myself).

Replaced the cap in my 10 year old Carrier 3.5ton AC unit
My original AC unit is 10 years old, still runs, but replaced the capacitor as part of preventive maintenance, because I want to make sure I get my AC run at least 3-5 more years until it has to be replaced with the new R-454B or R-32 outdoor unit and indoor evap coil since R410a units ceased production in 2025. I tested the original CAP microfarads, and the compressor rating was still in acceptable spec, but the fan motor microfarads was more than 50% low. When this happens, you are burning more energy to maintain fan speed. (pro tip, ALSO spray-clean your condenser coils at least 1x every 1-2 years to reduce static pressure drop and loss of heat transfer to save on energy). This capacitor was easy to install and I picked it because it matched the band clamp diameter for fitment. I also tested the new cap and the microfarad ratings were slightly low, but where within rated tolerance. Just remember to disconnect power to your AC unit and ground out the old capacitor before attempting removal.

Coming in Clutch!
Man talk about a life saver! We noticed our A/C unit started making a buzzing noise but was still going on. It was blowing air out of the vents and because it was early in the am in June in Southern California the air was cool but not cold. Our house was built in 2017 and this happening in 2023. Si my thought was there is something stuck inside the unit. Mind you, our previous house was 1946 with A/C unit that looked like it came off a German tank from WWII. So I did some trouble shooting since I pride myself as a do DIY type of guy, plus I happen to have are relative in the HVAC industry so I knew I could always call him for back up. Side note I had similar issue the previous summer, however, last summer was a lot hotter a lot longer. The solution that helped last summer was simply washing down the outside unit since they can get caked with dust and not be able to suck in enough air to help cool down the unit. As the day grew hotter the air became warmer and washing down the unit did not help. I searched Youtube referencing the noise and after a few videos it lead me to this part going out. I then called my source and confirmed this was the most likely cause, but it was apart that you can not walk into the local HD or Lowes or any other home DIY shop and pickup. He also told no A/C was going to sell me just the part, but said to try a few just incase( he was right). He being the family offered to help but was not able to come the following day after work. I told him I was able to get it next day from Amazon and he suggested I go with it and he would call when available if needed. The part came in early the next day and took about 10 mins to pull out the old one and install this one. My relative said it was an easy $200 or more from most professional depending on the time of day and season they called out to fix it. If we did nit have a house fan we probably would have paid someone to come install it, but 1 night was not bad and this summer was not as killer as last year. If you are handy and able to install yourself, which I think 8 year cold replace this under my guidance, this is a no brainer purchase.

worked well
this matched the specs of the old, and after receiving it i measured both and they were exactly 45 and 5 uF. I tried same day delivery and we received this item earlier than expected - awesome to get the ac going again so quickly.

Works in American Standard Model 2A7A2030A1000AA AC unit
The BOJACK 45+5 uF 45/5 MFD โก6% 370V/440VAC CBB65 Starter capacitor was a perfect fit for the 2004 American Standard Model 2A7A2030A1000AA AC unit I have. Both the fan and compressor are now starting normally. Suggestions: *Confirm your existing capacitor physical size before ordering. *Examine the existing quick disconnect connectors for corrosion as mine were quite bad one of which had burn marks on it. I crimped new quick connects on all wires prior to installing the new capacitor. *My ac unit has gaps at the top of the area where the capacitor is located of which allowed mice to get in and short out the electrical connections. I have since cleaned the upper area with alcohol and placed metal foil tape over those open gaps and have had no further issues with mice getting in.

Fits perfectly like the original capacitor
AC died in the middle of heat wave and I was able to open up the AC service panel to look for the original part code/serial number. Upon searching in Amazon this capacitor brand came up first from the search. Matches the original specs and size. Install was a breeze and make sure to disconnect your AC fuse first and discharge the capacitor so you donโt get a shock of your life ๐ highly recommended this product and very reasonable price.

Saved a few hundred dollars by allowing me to fix my AC unit on my own!
Clearly labelled, and slightly shorter/smaller than the one that came in my Goodman unit - So it should fit in almost any Air conditioner with these 45+5 uf Spec. Terminals fit snugly without requiring excessive force - and immediately, my 7 year old Goodman A/C Unit started working. Basically, If your A/C FAN motor (Fan doesn't spin or has trouble starting) or Compressor (If you don't hear buzzing and get no cooling despite the fans spinning) This is most likely the fix. Its an easy DIY fix, and can save you a few hundred dollars in service calls. Turn your Furnace/AC to OFF. Pull the breaker for the AC Unit (usually outside the house, near the AC unit) Take off the side panel Bridge each contact to the Ground with a plastic handled metal screwdriver (while ensuring you're ONLY touching plastic!) to discharge this (its a big battery - it CAN and WILL zap you if you don't discharge it first, while BREAKER IS OFF/REMOVED Remove the bracket screw, Take a picture. Move wires to the new capacitor. Confirm with picture you've got it all right. (Be careful, you can fry things if you put the wrong wire to the wrong terminal) Re-install, and you'll be the coolest person in town. The picture is of my old capacitor - but the new one looks pretty much the same. I included it to show you its just 4 wires and a very cheap/easy DIY fix!

Easy fix
My Carrier A/C stopped working and with the help of YouTube videos, came to the diagnosis that the capacitor was the culprit. After a few quotes ranging between $300-$500, I turn to You Tube again. If you trust your DIY skills, it can be done!! Itโs been about a week and all is still cool.
