Tastes great. Unusual odor is normal for sella rice. Not sticky. Grains remain separate. Organic.
This rice tastes great. While cooking, it has a very unusual smell, but that is completely normal for sella rice. The odor comes from the processing, because sella rice is boiled while the husks are still on. Then it is dried, and the bran and husk are removed. With other rice, the husk would be removed before the parboiling step. This process makes sella rice acquire its odor because sulfides are transferred from the husk to the germ. Most of the smell goes away after it is cooked, but some of it will remain, which adds to the overall good taste. Some people will find this odor to be gross, but it's all in their head. They think something is wrong with the rice, and they don't know that it is normal for sella rice to smell and taste that way. This rice is not sticky, and the rice grains remain separate. The company told me that it is uncertified organic, which they can guarantee because they are a farm to kitchen company, and they can assure that the rice is organic.

The Best Choice of Rice I've Ever Made
This was a random, blind chance selection, and it turned out to absolutely be the best rice I've ever had.I don't use package instructions, instead using a simple measuring and preparation method I always have for any type of rice.It turned out beautifully. There was no water or bits stuck to the bottom, which is usual for rices I make. The difference is that it's softer, fluffier, no grains stick together (but it's not too loose. A spoonful stayed close without clumping or many grains falling away. A simple measuring adjustment and I can make it stickier if I like), and smelled amazing. As far as grain size, they measured (yes, I measured) 11/16" (0.6875 cm = almost 3/4").Very long, soft grains of wonderful, healthy rice.As I'm able, I intend to make this my regular brand from now.

Best rice I have tried.
I am on my second bag of this rice. I like it better than the other popular rice on Amazon that I have tried. I like the cloth bag with the zipper at the top. The expiration date is so far in advance..... a few years! To me, this rice tastes very fresh. It has a good flavor to it. Of course, I had to learn how to cook it since I am new to this whole rice thing. I have completely changed my diet due to health reasons. Anyway, I bought a rice washing bowl and paddle from Amazon which helps. I wash the rice a few times and let it soak for at least 2 hours and rinse it again before cooking it. I like a pinch of saffron in my rice, which I add to the boiling water. I did make a mistake at first and kept the rice in the refrigerator, but learned it is better not to do that so I keep it in my pantry.

Rice is not flavorful or fragrant and smells bad during and after it is cooked
The Premium Quality Crown Khushboodaar basmati rice has a bad odor after cooking. It is not fragrant like the regular Basmati rice. The rice cooks well and is long fluffy, but fragrance, scent, and flavor are extremely poor compared to the traditional basmati rice.Wonder why?

Great product and customer service
After eating biryani for the first time in San Francisco recently, and absolutely loving it, I began researching how to replicate it at home. I knew that I would need to find some good basmati rice, and after reading many recipes and recommendations I found that this product met all of the specifications for making biryani. Before the product even arrived I received an email from the seller which contained cooking instructions and customer service contacts. Shipping was fairly quick and everything was in great shape on arrival. The rice comes in a very sturdy canvas type bag with a zipper closure at the top. I made biryani last night, the rice cooked up perfectly and the dish turned out amazing. Highly recommend this rice.

Special extra long grain basmati.rice - follow cooking instructions!
This extra long-grain basmati rice will cook up into an attractive dish of distinct white rice grains with a rich flavor and without any gumminess. To get these qualities, cook the rice exactly according to the instructions included in the Amazon listing under Directions. This takes slightly more work than required for standard parboiled or steamed white rice but the longer, finer grains are very elegant with a richer slightly buttery flavor that is worth the effort! The company, Anaaj, gave us excellent, courteous customer service . They also sell a raw basmati rice which gave us excellent results.

Delicious, fluffy rice!
This is beautiful, fine flavored long-grain rice! Great to eat on its own with some seasonings, or incorporate into all sorts of dishes. I would definitely buy it again. The only problem I experienced was that somewhere during its very long journey, one of the bags developed a hole near the top, where a seam split and some of the rice spilled out. I repackaged the remainder. The second bag was fine.Note that the seller says this rice cooks up more quickly than usual, in about 10-20 minutes. After rinsing the rice thoroughly, as suggested, I prepared 2 cups in a steamer, and it took 35 minutes to fully cook. Maybe it's faster for smaller quantities? This is not really a complaint, just an observation, as I was not expecting "instant" rice when I ordered it.

Once you eat this rice you'll be hooked
My initial review is below.I came to get a second bag a week later and the price has gone up! That's so totally unnecessary. I guess I won't be buying it.Initial review:This is my second bag but first from Amazon. I was extremely hesitant because some reviews complained about bugs and that scared me. I couldn't find it where I got the first bag from so I purchased this. As soon as it was delivered, I took it to my backyard and dumped the contents into a big bowl. In the afternoon sun. I left it out there for about an hour even though I checked and did not notice any bugs. Then I poured it into mylar bags with oxygen absorbers and sealed it. Pricy but I really like this rice
