Perfect for Marine Electrical Work A Must-Have Tool
As someone who does a lot of electrical work in a marine environment, this DeWalt 20V heat gun has been a game changer. It heats up fast, is compact, and completely eliminates the need for extension cords. I use it regularly for heat shrink connections on my boat, or boat trailer and it performs flawlessly even in damp, salty conditions. The cordless freedom makes tight or remote jobs so much easier, and the build quality is what you'd expect from DeWalt tough and reliable. If you're doing marine or mobile electrical work, this tool is a no-brainer

Great heat gun. Portable easy to handle does its job and doesn’t well. No complaints.

Another Dewalt tool in the tool bag.
Excellent electric heat gun. Comes with adapters for numerous applications. Runs off 20v battery. At first takes a bit to heat up but after that it’s good.

Solid tool, have LOTS of charged batteries on hand
Very handy to be unteathered while doing automotive wiring. Works well and gets up pretty fast.Battery life is very short, as one would expect from a high draw heater. Even my 5+ amp hour batteries won't get me through a a full area of wiring when I am properly heat shrinking everything.

Buy it.
Heats up well enough for heat shrink tubing. Eats batteries but who cares.. it works well

Decent Performance For A Cordless Tool.
Works fine as long as you're not expecting corded tool level performance. Not good enough to be your only heat gun, but has it's place. Goes through batteries like they're going out of style.

A little bit disappointing. But it works and has a place.
This heat gun is very poor for being a Daywalt product. It does not have enough fan power if that makes sense. It gets hot but doesn’t blow enough. I use this product to heat shrink after soldering on boats. It makes it very simple so I don’t have to drag extension cords around the dock and risk shock.I would give it less than three stars if I didn’t have a purpose for it. But it is handy at times. Overall, I think it is overpriced for what it is. However, it is not that expensive if you can compare it to dealt ecosystem.

Great heat gun!
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic heat gun for doing heat, shrink tubing, etc. Don’t know where this thing has been my entire life as it works fantastically for multiple tasks. Battery life is very good even with a smaller battery and unit seems very durable. High low selector, which seems to work very well for different temperatures and having the trigger safety lockout is Especially helpful. Works really good on shrink/solder connectors as well!
