Still working years later, and that says more than a first-week review ever could 🔌💡
I bought this Sabrent USB hub back in May 2021, with my own money, and I’m writing this review years later because it still works. That alone is probably the most meaningful thing I can say about it.A USB hub is not the kind of product that usually inspires reflection. It is supposed to be boring. It is supposed to sit on a desk, connect things, power things, survive being moved around, and quietly disappear into the background. The best version of a product like this is one you stop thinking about because it simply keeps doing its job. That is what this one has done. The ports still work. The individual power switches still work. The LED indicators still light up. The cable has held up. I have used it casually for years, plugged things in and out of it, moved it around, and never treated it like some delicate premium accessory. It just kept functioning. The individual switches are more useful than they may seem at first. Being able to turn off a single device without unplugging the whole hub is genuinely convenient, especially for accessories, card readers, controllers, lights, or anything else you do not need powered constantly.I also normally would not mention Vine in a review, but in this case it feels relevant because this is not a Vine item. I paid for it myself in 2021. I already write plenty of Vine reviews, so there is no real incentive for me to come back years later and spend time reviewing a basic USB hub unless it actually earned that review. And that is really the point. Some products impress you immediately, and some products prove themselves by lasting long enough that you realize they were better than you gave them credit for. This is one of the second kind.It is simple, practical, reliable, and still working years later. For a small tech accessory, that is about as strong a recommendation as I can give.

Reliable, well-made, no-drama, budget-friendly hub that just works with MacBook Air and Win 11 PCs.
Unless you are willing to pay 5x-10x the price for more speed and less reliability, this is the hub you want. I've used it with both types of computers, and it was simple to setup. It was also simple to use. I just had to format the SSD I installed in it to match the computer and then point my backup software or Time Machine at the new drive. Now, I backup every night with zero effort. The transfer speed is limited to 10Mbps due to the USB C 3.2 spec., so it isn't a barn burner. For most normal sized file copies, it's a difference of a second or two. I only see a big difference when I'm copying multiple terabytes of data. However, the reliability is worth the tradeoff. My fastest hub is 40Mbps, cost $400 and it took days to get it working because it was picky about the cable being used, the CPU/RAM speed, and the drive mounted in it. Once that expensive hub was finally working, it still seems a little flaky, occasionally requiring a reboot to see the drive after the computer enters low power hibernate mode. This was SO MUCH EASIER. Since my backups run overnight, the speed doesn't really matter for those. This hub has the M.2 NVMe SSD slot inside with the three common sizes of SSDs able to fit in it. It also has a 1Gbps ethernet port, an HDMI 2.0 port for 4K60 display, an extra USB C port and a couple USB 3 ports + 1 USB 2 port. There is also a short (~6"?) USB C cable permanently attached for plugging the dock into your machine (this one does 90W power/charging, which is great for MacBook Air, and newer iPads, or iPhones with USB C). It's nice when you only have one or two USB C ports on your computer. You get a LOT of functionality out of a single USB C port. The price for this is frankly dirt cheap for such a well-made, reliable, easy-to-use hub with so many features on it. I highly recommend it. Unless you have really high end PC/Mac hardware, and plan to copy multiple terabytes several times per day, or need multiple monitor connections, then paying $400-600 for a much faster hub, plus another $100 for the best cable you can find, just isn't worth the extra hassle that you trade for that speed. If you're using a $6,000 graphics card in a $6,000 top-of-the-line PC and do heavy 8K video editing, work with gigantic CAD/CAM models, or do major computer game development, or are a professional competitive gamer, then you can justify the extra. The vast majority of us will have a better experience installing, setting up, and just using this dock every day, because it works. My advice? Just buy it. It's pure quality without a quality price.

Ten Years of Reliability!
I bought this USB hub here on Amazon on June 5, 2016. Today is February 28, 2026. Yesterday I could not get it to recognize my camera, which I've connected to this hub for the past decade to upload photos to my computer. Then this morning I could not get this hub to recognize the Logitech mouse that has been plugged in to it for 10 years. Then I realized that it is dead. But this USB hub lasted me just short of TEN YEARS! That's outstanding for a $15 item, don't you think? I've used it to run USB mics into my DAW, I've used it to connect cameras and mouse as already mentioned, I've used it to connect ring lights, I've used it to power a portable monitor, I've even run Zoom audio recorders through it.It's been a convenient and useful tool here on my desk simply plugged in to my iMac, which extended the functionality of my computer when there were not enough USB ports on the computer to go around. And the cord is long enough that this USB hub sat on my desk in *FRONT* of my computer, so I didn't have to get up and reach around to the back side of the computer whenever I wanted to connect/disconnect a cable. So I'm happy to share my experience and results of using this USB hub. If you need USB-A connectivity, this is a good piece of gear to have.

Awesome tool but crash risk notice
The hub is great BUT note that if you turn off one of the switches there's interference (aka if one of the connections is a hard drive and you're using it, it'll temporarily be disconnected for a second, which is enough to crash lots of software)

Still Working Great After 5 Years
I’ve been using this USB hub for about 5 years, and it has been extremely helpful. It works exactly as expected and makes it easy to connect multiple devices at the same time. The individual switches are a great feature, and everything still works perfectly after years of use.Reliable, convenient, and definitely worth the money. Highly recommended!

GBB-0026 - SABRENT 4-Port USB3 Hub w/LED Power Switches - Long-Tail Flash Caddy Packing a Punch
GoBag essential 0026. Don't just toss flash drives in loose—bundle 'em smart like a pro quarterback handing off to his receivers.Needed a reliable way to hook up my four go-to flash drives to the media player (GBB-0015) without the usual hassle. This little beast nails it every time, and then some.Kickoff feature: That cable—call it the "bushcrafter's tail"—exits from the back. Lay it flat against the player, no flipping gear like a clumsy game of Twister. Feels about 2 feet, spot-on for reaching without strain. Most hubs skimp at a foot and flop; this one's built for real reach.Next play: Individual switches per port. Flip off the idle ones, kill power waste and brain fog. Want just one drive live? Hit the button—boom, done. Bonus blue LED glows under each switch (out when off). Row of blues? You're golden, full team connected. Smart as a fox using fireflies for signals.Huddle bonus on a PC: All drives talk when powered up. Drag files from one to three others like passing hot potatoes at a tailgate—no sweat.Size and weight? Pocket ninja—tiny, feather-light, slips into the GoBag unnoticed, even under shoulder load.Grabbed four: one bagged, one trucked, two desk-bound. Redundancy on the cheap, like stocking extra cans of chili.Game-changer surprise: Charging station hack. Plugged in a Black Friday 4-pack of mini flashlights to a 15W block—charged 'em all overnight, fast enough to beat dawn patrol. Beats fumbling singles every time.Zero cons on the checklist. Tough build, sneaky multi-tools in one. Perfect GoBag wingman or homestead helper. At $11 a pop? Snagged four, stashed 'em like acorns for winter. Wish Sabrent built trucks—they'd tow like champs, and fit in my garage.Five stars. Load your bag with winners like this; regrets are for the unprepared.

Work perfect to extend screen to external display on MacBook pro.
I fix mobile devices and laptops as a side hustle. Long story short, I was trying to retrieve data and we unlock a MacBook pro, with a severely damaged and bleeding screen. You couldn't see anything on it or tell if it was even starting up. So I needed something that I can plug into the USBC Port that woulld act as a power cable a USB hub and an HDMI connector all at the same time in order to extend the screen to another device in order to recover the data. This worked exactly like it should and like a charm. Speed is great and the peripherals such as the mouse and Bluetooth connectivity are all perfect. There doesn't appear to be a lot of heat generated which is also a plus. It's very easy to use you simply plug it in and plug in the power cable to the usb-c connector and you can power or charge your device while adding extra USB ports. Definitely worth the price and highly recommended for daily use and I'm probably even going to buy another one.

Great M2 ssd enclosure with hub
Two things in one with Sargent quality. The m2 enclosure is easy to use and easy to fit. And then the usbc speed as well as adding additional usb a connections is great.

Very good hub!
I've been using it with my keyboard and mouse (occasionally some pendrive). It works perfectly. The cable is very think and looks durable, and during the night I can easily turn off the connections using the buttons, so I don't have a bunch of lights from the devices. Please mind that if you change to another computer with everything connected, it will not be recognized. You need to turn off and turn on in order to Windows identify the devices. But that's an expected behavior and easily done with the on/off buttons. Also please not that it is not recommend for fast phone charging or running power-heavy devices, as it has no external power source. Totally recommend this hub.
