Lead-free solder strikes again! power connector connection is faulty. I looked, and it looks like the lead-free solder is all dried out and didnt bond well. if I flow some tin-lead solder on there it should fix.Im not sure if this is why I recieved an electric shock when picking it up. or if its that ground loop isolation is required.

Perfect solution for turning a stereo input into a clean mono signal. Loses a star for not coming miming with a power supply. The battery worked for a few days of being always on, but then started to create an annoying hum as the battery died. With a power supply I had lying around the house, the item is flawless and well built with a nice sound.

It does what it's supposed to, but introduces slight white noise in the output signal.

This will do several things, but I wanted one specific thing, and this does it perfectly. Have you ever tried to play music from your phone, or iPod, or other device through a single speaker? All you get is one side of the stereo signal. You can buy stereo to mono adaptors, but it still only gives you one side of the stereo signal, and sound quality can be horrible. You would think it would be easy to find an adaptor to handle that, but it's not. I was ready to build my own until I found this. I couldn't buy the parts to make my own for what I paid for this little device. For what I want it for, it's perfect. Build quality seems solid. Just take a look at the inputs and outputs to see if you need any adaptors for the way you'll use it. This met my needs very well, for a very good price. Highly recommended.

And all 3 that I tried made an awful static sound. I will change the rating if someone can help me make it work.

Works great to combine and boost Bluetooth adapter output for input into my PA system. Very nice build quality. 4 stars instead of 5 because no AC adapter is included.

This stereo to mono combiner is a great add to anyones audio toolbox. I have used much more expensive "pro" gear, and this works just as well. Best feature is the 9 to 20 volt range so it's easy to power with 12 volt effects loops. Low battery does cause distortion. With one of these, a microphone, mp3 player and a powered PA speaker you have instant karaoke. Operates quietly enough to use with large systems.

I was getting a ton of distortion so I returned it.
