I recently tried this Bluesky builder gel and here’s my honest opinion: What I loved: - The builder gel has a great consistency and build. It is not too thick and not too thin which makes it the ideal gel for overlay and nail extensions. - Easy to shape and finish. The gel is very easy to file , buff and it also shapes very well. - This builder gel is effective for long use. I have had several clients come back with 4 weeks without chipping or lifting. Overall very happy with the product

I'm a beginner nail tech, I got the hang of it from the 2nd attempt. Great, easy to work with, easy to file, self levelling gel. It is thick, but it self levels well albeit a tad slow. My only complaint is that the company did not disclose their ingredients neither on amazon nor on their own site. They told me it is available on the pot. That's not a proper way, but ok. Also, It's so sad watching peope try to use it like gel polish, my eyes bleed. That's the problem when a professional products are available to everyone. Others do not replace the lid and cure their nails with the pot open, of course it'll go hard, it cures with the UV or LED light. Leave it open in the sun it'll cure solid as well. Or people who keep the pot open whilst prepping the nails - it'll fill with the dust! Please either go do a course or take yourself to a professional.

Step by step instructions. Difficult to use until you get used to the consistency. Once you get the hang of it, it's the best thing! For extensions... I put on a base coat, cure for 60 seconds then wipe with acetone. Position the sticker extensions (the positioning of this is key, make sure they are straight against the nail or you will end up with a really weird shaped, thick nail). Apply layer of builder, cure for 60 seconds. Wipe with acetone between each layer *this is an important step*. Don't be phased after the first layer, it will look weird, feel weird and be really sticky. I do 2 layers of the builder then buff into the desired shape and remove any lumps. Once smooth I apply a third layer. And again buff until smooth. I buff this last layer with a very soft file to make sure there are no buff lines. Then apply gel polish. This is a great product to use to create a nail if you don't have one. It is safe to apply straight onto the skin and does not hurt to remove... I promise. This is also really good to just harden the original nails if soft or brittle. Only 1 or 2 coats required for this. 3 essential tips... 1. Wipe inbetween each layer with acetone to remove sticky layer 2. If you are doing extensions then the positioning of the sticker stencils are key! 3. Make sure the side parts of the nail are not too thin. Would definitely recommend this product. Much easier than acrylics, much more natural and does not cause as much damage to the nail. It's not quite as hard as acrylic so not the best product if you want to do very long nail extensions. But for everything else it's great.

I love this builder gel. I do my own nails and it’s the only one I use. I re-ordered it multiple times now. It’s the perfect nude shade for French nails or just a soft milky-white look. My nails have never broken while using it, it also lasts perfectly until my next refill. I’ve never had any issues with lifting or nails falling off. It’s also really easy to work with although like with any gel application a bit of skill is required.

I liked this builder gel and bought it thinking it was hema free due to Amazon search. It is not. Do not buy if you are allergic. It’s such a shame because it was easy to work with and seems good quality. Until I started to itch.

Great builder gel. I used for lengthening a couple of broken nails to make them a better length and this worked well using the nail forms. It was a good consistency and I found as a novice using it at home was fairly simple to do. It has lasted for ages now and still looking good. Bluesky products are always my go to when choosing gel nail products as they never let me down.

Brought this about 2 years ago and couldn’t remember why I didn’t have it. Thought I’d give it a go again as I normally use Mylee builder gel - this one came in a pot and was better and bigger value. I remembered it was more of a thicker gel consistency, which is more difficult to work with, but as I’ve been doing my own nails for a few years I wasn’t put off by it… I also wouldn’t say it’s particularly beginner friendly either. Turn out, I threw it away because it’s complete and utter rubbish! Spent two hours (two separate times) using this builder gel with completely correct nail prep and adding uv cured gel varnish on top, only for the complete nails to ‘pop’ off after roughly a few hours! The nails that didn’t pop off completely were already peeling. For a second time this will now be disposed of, and I will certainly remember not to buy it again. Buy cheap, buy twice. Mylee certainly lasts a lot longer (even with my swimming regime). Bluesky was not worn on a swimming day, I’m a stay at home mum with the usual household chores of a family of 6 with a dishwasher, so no mountain of dishes washed in the sink (in case anyone wonders if the water involved is linked to the peeling and popping aspect). It’s a hard no from me.

I use this for extensions and it cures super hard! It’s also good to strengthen natural nails

no matter how tight you secure the lid it leaks out and over everything over time
