Terrific for long straws
I no longer have to keep my oversized drinking straws in a drawer. I use this everyday. It is nice and shiny and very functional. I ordered a second one for my mother because she couldn't find anything as nice as mine!

Good and sturdy enough for glass straws
I was hesitant at first but the plastic is thick and sturdy. It weighs enough that the lid Can be opened with one hand (very heavy and tightly packed straws might be a two handed job). Tho I'm confident enough to store my glass straws in it and haven't had any issues opening it with one hand.
