75-300 lens is not image stabilizing
I LOVE the camera and 18-55 STM lens. The camera is very easy to figure out; much easier to get it to focus where I want it than my old Rebel XS. The 18-55 STM lens has a much better focusing range than my old 18-55 lens. I can take close flower shots with it that are almost as good as switching to my old macro lens, so I don't have to switch lenses nearly as much. I didn't realize that the 75-300 III lens wouldn't have an image stabilizer. My fault, I know; it just didn't occur to me that a lens with that much zoom could NOT have one. After testing the two, I prefer my old 55-200 IS lens because an absolutely clear sharp image without having to use a tripod is necessary for me. And the additional pixels in the new camera mean I can crop for the last bit of zoom without loosing enlargement capability.

Great Camera!
As a beginner to photography I wanted something smaller and lighter, but more than a point & shoot. So I did some research and decided that the Canon SL1 would be my best choice, but it wasn't made anymore. Then I found it on Amazon, and I simple could not be any happier with it. As an older adult, this will be my camera for life.

Very happy with the Camera.. !
I really liked the combo. The addition of long focal length gives extra room to capture objects which are far. I have tried to capture full moon and to be honest, i am surprised with what this camera is capable of. I am still a beginner and so far i have i am very impressed with the ease of usage and self instructed short explanations of different settings. The camera itself is not heavy and easily carried around the neck with the strap which comes with this package. Also, the storage bag is really handy and you can easily store both the kit lenses in it without any issue. As a matter of fact, i have bought few accessories and it fits in the same bag as well. The whole package was itself packed very well and reached before the scheduled time. I am quite happy with the camera and highly recommend to anyone who has been thinking of going into more sophisticated photography.

I am amazed at all that this little camera can do
I just purchased this Canon SL1 package with the added 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens to upgrade from my regular Samsung Wifi Point and shoot. I am amazed at all that this little camera can do! The size is perfect and feels super comfortable in my hands unlike other ones I've held. The quality of the pictures produced by this camera are GORGEOUS and professional looking. I actually Shocked myself when I headed to the park with my daughter and just took pictures of her playing. I tried the video camera feature and was a little disappointed that it would pause the video when I took pictures (while in video mode). It may be due to me not knowing all the features of the camera, but I'll get it. If you're a quick learner, you wont be disappointed. I highly recommend getting the bundle being that it'll save you money in the long run. Also include the free accessories and you are set! I am certain that I will be enjoying this camera for many years to come and I very highly recommend it! Whether you are an amateur or a pro photographer, you will absolutely love this camera! I've posted a few shots taken with this camera using the close lens and the 75-300mm one.

Not the worst thing to happen
I am not rating this product poorly for a lack of design, but for this month there is a rebate for the camera if you purchase a printer on the same date as you did the camera. In my very quick amazon spending (as some people can probably relate to), I didn't read the terms of the rebate, so now spent way more on a camera that I intended on. Not the worst thing to happen, but I wish this was more clearly stated for the rebate. However, this was my own lack of attention to detail, so hopefully this review helps someone else as ADD as I am when thinking about getting a camera for 50% off with no strings attached :-P

Exceeded Expectations
This is an excellent camera. I have never owned a DSLR camera before and this one exceeded my expectations. It is easy to use and far lighter than I expected. It is small, but that is part of the reason that I got it. It is very easy use and to carry around. Buying the 75-300mm lens was worth it as I take a lot of wildlife photos and would be lost without it, but this lens does not have image stabilization so you have to be more careful when focusing. I recommend using a tripod. I highly recommend this camera for those just starting out who do not want to sacrifice quality.

I am very disappointed as the product specifications (picture enclosed) on the Amazon ...
Hi I purchased Canon EOS rebel SL1 on 27th Nov, 2015 with Order # 108-0373726-6569821. When I made the purchase, I was under the impression that both the lenses in the bundle came with automatic ‘image stabilization’. To my horror, only the 18-55 mm lens comes with image stabilization and the larger 75-300 mm lens does not. I am very disappointed as the product specifications (picture enclosed) on the Amazon page did not call out that the 75-300 mm lens did not come with IS technology. In fact, the specifications gave wrong impression that it was so. I feel that this information was intentionally concealed and this has hurt Amazon's credibility in my eyes. I hope you take corrective action ASAP and replace my current 75-300 mm lens with the one with automatic image stabilization. Looking forward to your response.
