LamyRollerball Refill, Red (LM63RD)

Lamy Refills, No. LM63BK, work great, and the pricing was very reasonable. These refills make the pen write smoothly and effortlessly most of the time, and the experience is good. The ink is semi-permanent, and it looks good long afterwards. This refill does skip at times, but rarely. I cannot tell the date-code on these refills, but I am assuming that these are well within the current date-code limitation -- an important consideration when replacing ink cartridges. The Lamy Rollerball pen writing experience is very close to my Mont Blanc Le Grande Rollerball. Overall, I would highly recommend the Lamy refills!

Excellent. A precision rollerball!

I love my Lamy Safari pen! These refills are the standard price but very fast shipping. I am unable to source them locally so this is very convenient for me. I have had mixed success with the quality of the ink. Sometimes I feel like the lifespan and quality is on par. Other times, I feel that the ink is not as solid and also runs out prematurely. It seems to be about a 4 out of 5 success rate having a great refill.

I received an expensive pen as a gift a few years ago, and the original rollerball finally died. I tried several different (cheaper) refills, but they either skipped when writing or went dry after a few months. Finally realized that when it comes to rollerball refills, you get what you pay for. This one writes beautifully and is still going strong.

For years I've written with a fountain pen (and ball points, of course), but some time ago I finally came to the realization that fountain pens were great for signatures, but not for note taking. Finding a smooth, fast drying rollerball was a problem, and then I found the Lamy. It IS smooth as silk, never skips, and just glides over almost any paper. The last refill lasted 3 years, so it may not be as expensive as my initial reaction. I just hope that handwriting doesn't go completely out of style and all kids are born with just thumbs for texting.

Not your usual shade of blue but I like it, a little bit darker. As of the writing experience, well is a Lamy so you can expect a smooth and uninterrupted flow.
