I love the bright colors and they write well

We received these BIC XTRA-FUN #2 pencils for free to sample and review.Kudos to any an all that can capture the attention of a young mind and direct in a positive direction. To make a writing utensil that, first and foremost, checks off all the educational systems must haves (it's safe, it's no. 2, etc.) but then goes that XTRA mile and makes it bright and colorful, slightly bendy and therfore comfortable to hold, easy to sharpen and erase, and just plain FUN! My boys were Instantly attracted to these pencils. And believe it or not, they actually dropped those video game controllers to come draw, write and doodle. I am one star short only because my eleven year old, although he very much thought the pencil was "cool" didn't think the led was as dark as his current brand. My 7 year old had no complaints.#GOTITFREE #BICXTRAFUN

Good gosh, these were so much fun I almost exploded. It’s hard to concentrate during class when being distracted by such a dazzling spectrum of pencils. Also, I can’t resist a pre-sharpened pencil. Saves me seconds of precious time that are better spent playing games on my phone. Also, these were cheaper on Amazon than they were at Office Depot on sale! Woo hoo!

My son really likes these pencils. The colors are what caught my attention when I first bought them in the store but the fact they are a little bendy is what my kiddo likes about them and why I continue to buy them.My son has Asperger's Syndrome and sometimes he gets stressed while writing and he would bend on his regular pencils when he was trying to figure out what to put done on the paper- unfortunately the regular pencils would break. With these pencils they bend slightly so they help him with reliving the stress as well as being functional. He uses them in every class and they last longer than the other ones we have used in the past.

I started buying these last year as my son was having trouble writing neatly. He is very intelligent but could care less to take time to make it look nice and he was getting answer marked wrong due to his handwriting. I thought it might have something to do with the cheap pencils lead breaking every other minute. His teacher even noted his handwriting improved a bit. I am not talking miracles here, but it was legible. He wont use any other pencil now.

Awesome pencils my 11 year old likes them although he says they're kind of hard to hold onto. Said they are "slippery". Had to get him some grippers to go along with them. But what kid can have just plain pencils these days? They write just as well as top selling brand we'll see how long they last.

Meant to purchase colored pencils and was not paying attention. BUT i am delighted as I did not know these existed and my children LOVE them. Sometimes it a happy little accident :-)

I have adult ADHD and have returned to college at the ripe old age of 30. One of my key skills for keeping myself focused on an assignment is to hand write it with a pretty pencil.When I was purchasing my school supplies I chose these, and a pack of the Ticonderoga Noir pencils with black wood and prismatic barrel. I've been using them both for about a month now and find the Noir pencils to be FAR superior in lead color, eraser performance, and holding my attention.About the only thing I like about the XTra Fun is that they're the composite wood that has that plastic-y feeling but results in a sharper point.

I had thought that being office/school supplies this item would arrive quickly. It took a little more than 2 weeks, using Prime. Although it is a good product, does its job as expected and is a reliable brand, I will not be purchasing it through Amazon again.

Only issue is the quality of the lead in the pencil. The point rounds out quick. Love the colors.
