This is an extremely versatile shoe for three reasons.1. This shoe is handsome. The leather looks great and overall the shoe is a great combination of casual and understated. It's good looking enough that if you take care of it, it will work with your dress clothes for many situations.2. This shoe is waterproof. No need to buy any type of work boot or rubber boot to brave a rainy day.3. It has a decently grippy tread. It's not a hiking shoe, but it's a thousand times better than a dress shoe or something like...anything from Tom's.After spending literally hours to days researching a shoe that I could wear for backpacking across Europe (mainly through streets, dirt roads, and things like wine vineyards), this is the one I landed on. I needed something waterproof, but that is also not a boot or a waxy looking dress shoe. I needed something good looking, but for the right price; something that could work with a nice dress shirt and pair of slacks or also a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. And I also needed something comfortable. This shoe checks all those boxes and it really only has one small tradeoff, and one small flaw.The only tradeoff this shoe makes is breathability for waterproofing. I think you'll find this is the case for almost any waterproof shoe. So I recommend the right pair of socks for this, something like ankle/no-show ultra-light Darn Tough socks. The only flaw I found with these are that they don't have any arch support, so if you need that, then I recommend something like the Superfeet Trailblazer (what I chose, worked great except removed some, but not too much, vertical room), or Superfeet Green or Orange. One more small gripe I could make is that the leather is nice and soft, so it is easy to scuff the toe of the shoe.For fit, I normally wear a US size 10.5 shoe, but I had to go down to a size 10 for these.Before I wrote this review, as testing, I spent two weeks almost entirely on my feet, walking throughout Italy and Spain. During that time, my feet never hurt, even though with previous footwear I was brought to my knees in Disneyland. It rained for an entire day in Spain, and I was stepping in puddles left and right. Normally my feet would have been soaked and soggy. But with these, they were totally dry. I may buy another pair, just for the day when, God forbid, these finally give out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great shoes for hiking, camping and just everyday wear! *by I***H on November 5, 2017* This was the fourth pair of Forsake shoes we have ordered. We really love the fit, style and comfort of each pair we have. On this particular pair, after 2 weeks of wear; the emblem on the back of the shoe peeled off. It's not the end of the world, or even a functional issue with the shoes. I just want to leave a fair review. Will happily purchase other styles for my partner and I in the future! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Look good and comfortable *by L***Y on June 1, 2019* Looks good for business casual or just wanting a slightly different look from running shoes. They pair well with khakis or jeans. Very lightweight and comfortable - my go to shoe for international travel (I’ve worn these things for 24 hrs straight, including off the plane and straight to walking around a city for 6 hours).
