This is an extremely well built tool for the price. The tongs are heavy duty and extend into the nicely crafted and ergonomic handle. I'm going to apply a wood oil or sealant to protect the finish of the wood. I see this tool lasting for years and years.

Very sturdy and solid tool. Came with raw, unfinished wood handle. Looks just like picture now after I stained it with one coat of provincial minwax stain and several coats of satin polyurethane. So you can stain it to your preference.

I used this when I repotted my Ficus bonsai tree. The rake was worked well getting through the tangle of old roots and helped pull out the old soil. I was able to remove the old soil and not destroy the old root system.

Very comfortable in my average man hands and feels like an extension of my hand. Works well in pots, mixing soil, loosening roots. Feels solid. Almost as comfortable as an elk horn

This tool is perfect for dealing with tangled roots. Fits my hand well and a joy to use.

I haven't had the opportunity to use this tool yet... although I have plans for this coming week. But I can tell you, this is one solid tool! And the wooden handle is nicely contoured for a comfortable and secure grip. I have no doubt that it will serve me well and I look forward to my first reporting with this tool.
