Oriental Weavers Atlas Area Rug, 8' x 10', Gold/Green

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I was a little hesitant ordering it online. But I couldn't be happier. The colors are beautiful. It goes well with my decor. It very soft to walk on. Super fast shipping. The rug said the colors were gold/green. But there is no green. Its more of a sage grey. It has more blues, brown, creme and gold. It's exactly what I was looking for.

First of all, let me state clearly that this is a beautiful carpet, and we love the look of it in our living room. The colors are vibrant, and it adds much depth and warmth to the room. HOWEVER - the edges are not even, and while we can somewhat overlook this (it may be more obvious in your room) what we cannot overlook is the amount of shedding. The rug appears to be made of many small pieces of thread and who knows what else, and while we thought it would improve after a couple of good vacuum sessions, it is only getting worse. I pick up a large handful of thread and fibers daily - at this rate, the rug will be bald in spots in another few months. For $1000, I would expect something put together a little bit better. There are no long threads showing - just lots and lots of small pieces. Again - we love the look of the carpet. We just wish we could have faith it will last a decent amount of time.
