Back bacon is superior to American bacon!
I was fortunate to travel to the UK and experience my first full Scottish breakfast. I fell in love with back bacon, but it’s not readily available here in the US. Thankfully I was able to order it and I am so glad I did! The package arrived earlier than expected and the bacon was all still frozen in the cooler it was shipped in. The quality of the bacon is amazing and I am really enjoying being able to recreate my UK experience here at home. I will definitely be ordering it again!

mmmmmm! Bacon!!!!!
This Irish bacon is fabulous!! I haven’t had a better kind of bacon yet from anywhere else. It is expensive but man oh man! —it’s worth every penny! My breakfasts have never been this good—it’s a perfect match with your eggs and works just as well in a sandwich! I am a convert and I recommend this item whole heartedly: you won’t be disappointed!

Great bacon
Some packages the bacon was more salty than I like, and the rashers/slices were a bit thin. However, overall the bacon was a taste of home and I was very pleased.

A taste of home
The price in one lump was a bit hard to swallow (pun intended) but when you divide it down, it's not hugely more expensive than American bacon bought locally.Try to arrange this to be delivered when you're home or going to be home in a few hours. It was really well packed in an EPA-lined box with 2 freezer packs that were completely solid and frozen when it arrived; the bacon itself wasn't frozen - but definitely colder than your average fridge. Probably around 1C, so felt perfectly safe.Taste is exactly as I remember (grew up in Cheshire till 30). Not sure about the people complaining about it being too salty? Either locals not used to the taste or they had a bad batch.I used to get this from the UK food store in SF for slightly less ($10 per pack vs. $12.50) but given that I didn't have to do a 2 hour round trip (and they sold out), it's good value for money. Not cheap, but not the absurd prices of Jolly Posh Foods etc.BLT's just re-became my favorite lunch :)

Unpleasantly salty
I had high hopes - the size and cut is good - but there's far too much salt - unpleasantly so - on the limit of being tolerable. No salt/sweet balance. Very much spoils it, and trust me, I'm no slouch when it comes to salty flavours. I don't think I'll buy it again unless this is a one off batch problem but I suspect not as others hace mentioned the saltiness too.

Just like the bacon we had in Ireland
This bacon is less fatty than our conventional american bacon but really it tastes more like a ham of sorts. It is delicious but a tad salty. You could soak in a bowl of water for a few minutes or rinse then dry to remove some of the salt if you are intolerant of that. We did not salt our eggs when serving this at breakfast and it seems fine for us. Very similar to what we loved when enjoying breakfast at Irish restaurants and BnB's. Cooks in a flash and tates fresh. We froze several packages and they were just fine when thowed and cooked.

This is the real thing - Irish back bacon.
This is not the kind of bacon you will find in most US shops. They are complete bacon only slices, no streaky stuff, with a very small rind on one edge. They cook easily and taste great. Just like being in Ireland ( or England, similar bacon) and having a "full breakfast" of eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, banana and maybe black pudding and fried bread (or toast). It is a bit expensive but it has to come a long way to get to the US, so worth the price in my view.
