This lamp is exactly what I've been looking for for quite some time. I am so happy that I came across this one on Amazon. It is a solidly built lamp and has a little weight to it, so it won't be easily knocked over. The price is more than fair, in my opinion. I'd recently been given a rattan lamp by a friend who knew I was searching for one. The only problem was that my hand-me-down lamp was missing it's shade. I live in the Northeast and couldn't find one locally, so I began an internet search. I was shocked to see the price of rattan shades alone, with no lamp. The shade size I needed was going to run approximately $100.My lamp arrived by UPS several days ahead of it's projected delivery date. It was packaged very securely and arrived with no damage whatsoever.My daughter just bought a new home and is decorating the master bedroom in a tropical motif. Her new bedroom furniture is dark rattan. The rattan base of this lamp is somewhat darker than what is pictured, so these will look great on her nightstands. She plans to order two, and I will be ordering another for myself.Bottom line: Nice lamp, great service, and very fairly priced.I am a happy customer.

I love everything about this lamp EXCEPT the fact that the light really shines through the rattan. It is uncomfortable to look at. Do you enjoy looking directly at light bulbs? The fact that I overlooked this significant flaw and gave it four stars instead of one is a testament to what a great lamp it is otherwise. I think I will use parchment paper to line the rattan shade. The bulb is only 40 watts and parchment paper does not easily burn. I am that desperate. If this works, I will update my review and let you know how I did it.April 2013: Lining the lampshade was harder than I thought so I just replaced the shade.

This lamp is a perfect addition to our tropical/ palm themed bedroom for our nightstand. As I've read in other reviews re: this product, yes some light shines through the lamp shade, but isn't that what a rattan rope style shade is supposed to do? It doesn't bother us and it's actually pleasing to the eye and gives a neat burst of light in the area we were hoping to illuminate. Very satisfied w/ purchase. It is made well, solid, great coloring, etc. I would highly suggest this lamp as it's a great value & appears almost exactly as you see in the pic they use to sell it!

These are really pretty! I'm giving 2 as a gift and I'm sure they'll be happy. I gave 4 stars only because there was a scratch at the brown base of one, however I should be able to touch it up with something. Even with that small defect, I feel they are worth the price. To me, they look like a more expensive lamp.

I love the look of this lamp. It is well made and a good bargain. My only two complaints: it only takes up to a 40 watt bulb. I would love to have two of them as bedside lamps but my husband and I like to read in bed, and a 40 watt bulb is not enough light. Also the finial on mine is crooked, but that problem was easily remedied by leaving it not quite tightened down.

My palm tree lamp actually arrived two days before it was scheduled to arrive. It looks very cute and tropical on my table in the entrance hall. Just what I was looking for. Looks like I paid a lot more for it than I did. Very good quality. The only thing that was different than the picture on line was the stem of the lamp appears to be a light tan color and when it arrived it was a much darker color but it still looks good. It took me a long time to find a palm tree lamp this size that I like so I'm very happy with this purchase.

I chose this rating for a variety of reasons. The lamp was beautiful. Well worth the price. It's very well made. It looks great wherever I place it. So much so that I ordered another one.Another reason for the 5-star review was the helpfulness of Enchanted Gift Gallery. I was able to contact them directly and they did everything possible to answer my questions and expedite my order. They were professional but yet very friendly. I would definitely order from them again.

I bought these for my "tween" daughter's bedroom remodel. We made it a surfer girl Roxy room, and these lamps were perfect! The reason I only gave them 4 stars is because you can see the outline of the light bulb through the shade. Really, though, for the price, who cares? They are definitely nice quality for the price I paid.
