Go with silicone rings or an actual non-stick!!!
Owning my fair share of cast iron and carbon steel cookware, I've honed in my seasoning skills. No matter what I've tried on this and over 20x of trying to season and build up the layers, nothing has worked and eggs stick like glue. The effort I've put into TRYING to season this and the clean up (which has been a major PITA), it's just not worth it! I hate to say it, but you're better off using rings or a non-stick version.

Product Advertised as Non-Stick
The item is made in China and touted as a ... Non Stick Egg Cooker Pan. Sadly, the item did not perform as described in the product description. Tried frying eggs and ended up with a huge mess on stovetop, trying to flip the egg over. Thought the "non-stick" would work but didn't. This is a cask iron product and specifically made to fry eggs. Try frying an egg in a cask iron pan and it sticks to the bottom. Doesn't work!!!

I use it to pour molten metal in so that has to say something on its ability to handle temp change.
