I love this grater and use it constantly. It’s become one of those kitchen tools I reach for almost every day for vegetables, cheese, and potatoes, whether I’m cooking meals or making baked goods. The etched blades are sharp and make grating quick and easy, and the removable container helps keep everything contained while prepping. The zester side is also a big improvement over my previous grater and works really well. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and has been a great addition to my kitchen. I definitely think it’s worth the money and I love that the material is stainless steel.

It is the Gratest! Sharp, but not dangerously so. Thick, ergonomic handle that is easy to hold. Three different hole sizes, plus a slicer, that can be used on a wide variety of different foods, whether cheeses, carrots, cucumbers for tzatziki, potatoes for hash browns. The removable zester is great for making powdery parmesan or cotija, finely grating garlic, or nutmeg nuts (whether you remove it or not is up to you!). And the 300ml (1 1/2 cup) storage box is super handy! The included lid to the box was a bit malformed when I received it, but I soaked it in very hot water and bent it into shape, and now it seals perfectly. I have a lot of other OXO stuff in my kitchen, and the brand always seems to be quality.

I am so beyond pleased with this item (even though I just got it yesterday). I should really update this when i have used the grater, but so far i have just used my removable zester. The zester is wonderful; comfy to hold and takes the top layer of a lemon off like no other. it doesn't go deep into the lemons skin; just pure zest. Overall, I can tell the other graters are very sharp and will work well. I love the comfort of this product. the top of the handle has whatever coating it is, so it is very nice to hold. I love the Box at the bottom of the grater, and how i can just grade cheese right into it. I debated on this product, because there are cheaper options out there, but the quality is certainly worth it. Only thing I wish was different is the handle to be a little taller for me to fit the plastic container into it for smaller storage in the cabinet. This is very nit picky, and my only idea how i wish it were different, but I am so happy with this purchase.

I'll start with the only minor negative aspect: the side with the large hole to be used as a slicer isn't that great. It has only one slot and the grater is still too narrow. Even cucumber are a bit of a pain to slice on this. Everything else in the design and quality of the product is somewhat impressive. For fifty years I have used cheap graters and I initially thought that this purchase was a bit silly in terms of cost, but after a few weeks of use I have absolutely no regret. The grating grids are very sharp and extremely well shaped, making it very easy to grate and to clean. The steel seems to be of good quality but I haven't had it for long enough to discuss the durability. The box that fits the bottom of the grater is incredibly convenient - I with there were two. The removable zester is the most accurate zester I have ever used: you get all the zest and none of the white underlayer. It is also reasonably sized, even for someone with very large hands.

This works great as a greater semicolon however, I find the little box at the bottom useless as it's kind of hard to great with it on and the cheese flies out the front a little bit anyway. I still really like it and just use it without the bottom box. Sounded like a great idea, but didn't quite work. I do love the removable small grater.

After trying out this superb grater, I gave away the others. For years I've been switching off from a cute little French lady whose skirt is a grater -- very cute, too small -- a long narrow fine grater and very fine indeed -- a curved medium grater I could never get to hold still if I was grating hard cheese -- they're all gone, gone, gone. Oxo's grater is fabulous. The handle is comfortable. You can get a good grip, and the construction is so strong, it's easy to keep it steady even if you're grating granite (only kidding). Every blade works wonders, the catch basin that comes with it is perfect, and the detachable zester/fine grater is absolutely wonderful. Worth every penny.

This is one sharp grater. And I mean that literally and figuratively. It grated celery very easily without leaving any strings hanging off the tiny pieces. My old grater was not sharp enough to do that. The cup that snaps on and off the bottom worked beautifully to collect all the celery which I then poured into the salad I was making. Then I tried it on fresh ginger. My old grater would grate the ginger, but not without a lot of work. This grater is so sharp it made easy work out of getting a full tablespoon of grated ginger into the cup in very little time. As stated in the description, it has slide-on guards you can put on over the grates when it's not in use so you don't accidentally cut yourself when moving it around or picking it up to use. I've used the largest grate and the smaller one, both with equal success. I have not used the zester, yet, which snaps on and off one side. If you're looking for a very sharp box grater, this is the one to buy. It feels and looks like it's very well made. Not a kitchen tool that will fall apart after a year or two of use. I recommend this to anyone enthusiastically.

Never have I seen an adult get so excited over a device to shred cheese manually but this did it. Squeals of excitement were heard far and wide as the unexpected package was opened in the kitchen. Mere moments later cheese was flying from wall to wall and maybe a little bit of finger as well (watch out she’s a sharp one).

The removable zester makes it easier to get all of the bits out of it and the other sides when washing up (my being able to reach all the places easily after removing one side of the grater) which can be hard to clean off in other graters. Is a very sharp grater which makes it easy to use, I did cut myself on it once which I would not even think is possible to do on most sides of other graters so probably best to caution people of this. The flatter design also makes it easier to clean (especially with the usual design of the smallest size being less spikey) and the container is also very useful to contain what I am grating and store anything I don't end up using. It is also very study and I think will last a very long time.

Me encanta todo lo que es OXO, en especial este fabuloso rallador que le puedes separar una parte para el queso que usas sobre la pasta recién servida. El depósito al principio te resbala en la mesa cuando estás usando el rallador, si no tienes cuidado se puede salir y el desastre, pero cuando le agarras la técnica de uso es fenomenal. Me ha gustado un montón.
