This is the exact hat I searched the internet for for weeks. It’s not too cowboy and not too old-time fedora. It’s well constructed and fits as expected. I can’t believe how many compliments I receive wherever I wear it. If this is the style you like, you can’t go wrong with a Stetson—one of the oldest and most trusted names in the hat industry.

As I walk with a cane, I bought this crushable wool hat to act as an umbrella of sorts. Which it does very well. It also is great for retaining body heat whenever I get a little chill.I have no complaints about this product at all. It's a typical Stetson hat with typical Stetson quality. So, why the three stars? Well, because it was shipped to me in a Tyvek bag instead of the Stetson box. (To prove it is actually crushable?) I have no idea why Amazon chose to package it this way and I hope they don't ship the felt hats in this manner. All I can say is that I really didn't appreciate it at all.I really like the hat and it fits perfect. Excellent quality materials and workmanship.If Stetson is going to use Amazon as it's primary outlet (they are all sold out in the online Stetson store), I hope someone at Stetson will specify that they all be shipped in their original packaging.That's about all I have to share with you about this item. Material wise, Its no comparison to what you used to get from Stetson.And the finishing touches have become fairly simplistic.But the experience in making hats for a very long time is still evident and workmanship is professional.You're unlikely to find lose ends or any obvious imperfections.Which I can't say about all the hats I've bought over time.The more annoying negative is, that the Beaver ratings have turned into a joke.They may have 10xx 20xx or 100xx hats that have either no Beaverfur component or extremely low.I can't repeat the entire dissertation on the subject, but as long as you know, you're getting an all-wool hat with maybe a little bit of rabbit fur in it, you'll probably be happy.If you're planning to use that hat for serious trekking tours, to protect you from days of heavy rain, for example - you better find a vintage hat with the right beaver fur percentage.

Terrible quality! Worse than a kids costume hat. I couldn't help but laugh when I first open the box. The felt is very flimsy, everytime you turn your head the brim flops back and forth. The hat has a few major defects as well. Stitches on the hat band aren't cut shot and are loose just hanging out. The felt also is creased extremely crooked. Take a look at the photos.

This is the perfect golf hat on hot sunny days. The style provides shading of the ears and back of the neck as well as the eyes. Unlike ball caps or visors. The color and material reflects heat instead of absorbing it. The vent at the top allows heat to escape. The stiffness prevents the brim from flapping around in the wind causing distraction which is the main drawback of western style hats for golf. The chin strap prevents it from flying off when speeding down a cart path. I'm surprised you don't see more of this style hat on the golf courses.

Stetson continues to be the gold standard in hats. This particular hat is perfect for what I need: inexpensive but well-made, crushable, and water resistant. I spend a lot of time ourdoors and needed the protection offered by this hat. I'm very pleased with it. It also looks damn good when I'm two-stepping with my bride. Win/win.

I like the hat -- it's my third of the general type -- but today the sweat band pulled loose across a quarter of the hat and on examination I could see that the bobbin thread was not continuous so that it had pulled out of the stitches from the back to the side. Six weeks after delivery it's too late to return it, so the lesson is to give any like it a really close examination at the attachment while they're still returnable.

Took this hat on a 3 week cruise and inland tour. Had rain and the hat was perfect with its large brim. It says "crushable" and I packed it twice but it took some time and dampening to get the wrinkles out and the brim is a little cockeyed now. Got many compliments in Alaska and in the Yukon on the hat.

This was everything I wanted, I wanted a stetson cowboy hat without it being too Holywood, this fitted the bill. It is true this hat is crushable and holds its shape. I know it was sat upon.Great hat

I rarely post reviews but I felt I would at least to dispel some of the earlier reviews I've read. This is a quality hat with excellent materials and craftsmanship. Absolutely no stitching problems with the inner hat band.Also, mine arrived in a box and was literally in excellent shape. Very fast shipping time as well.I'm very pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy again!
