Rediscover some classics (both good & bad!)
A Compendium of Atari 2600 Games doesn't claim to be a definitive listing of EVERY 2600 game, rather 10 games for each letter & number are selected for a half page review accompanied by a colour screenshot which perfectly describes the game. Hawken does a concise job of explaining what the game is about, who the publishers were and any and all relevant trivia associated with the title. The book is presented in an easy to read format perfect for quick searches if you're playing along with the original system itself or on a modern emulator/mini-console (some released by Atari themselves). You'll rediscover classics you know, titles you didn't & obscure releases maybe best left forgotten!

Have you played Atari today? Read this book!
My very first games console in the house was the classic Atari 2600, and this book brings back lots of great memories of this fantastic machines best games. Clearly written by someone with a deep passion for Atari, it's a must have for anyone with a fondness for the system. Covers so many games, and loads I never even knew existed. Great read.

Very poor. Avoid.
This is an extremely disappointing effort. Written by someone who wasn't even born when the 2600 came out, his sheer lack of knowledge of this system can perhaps be excused. However, what cannot be overlooked is the poor choice of games, the awful grammar, the poor layout and the same old tired reviews from his other publications. Don't waste your money on this tripe.
