I use this on a table saw, bandsaw, mitersaw, lathe and drill press and it reduced the dust and chips in my garage shop to almost nothing. It was an investment that I wish I was able to make long ago...especially for keeping a healthy shop. Update: I’ve been using this for awhile now, and I’m still extremely satisfied with it and glad I bought it for my shop. The only thing I would add that I’ve learned is that if you wait till the bottom bag fills completely to empty it, you’re gonna have a dusty and messy time changing out the bag! Also, I would take the top white bag off once or twice during the life of the bottom bag and knock the dust off the insides. Take it outside and give it a few whacks to get the buildup of fine wood particles that accumulate. If not, you can tell there’s a little loss of suction. Still an excellent purchase for any home woodshop. That is per the label on the motor. **Q: Does the unit in the picture have the vortex cyclone with 5 micron bag like the description or is this a generic photo?** A: My unit has the vortex cyclone with the 5 micron bag. The only difference from the photo is that my unit has a transparent hose. Unit works well. **Q: It's 79" high when operational. Can the filter chamber be easily detached for storage in a shorter (vertical) space and reattached before use?** A: I think it would be to much work to remove the filter each time. What has worked for me is to remove the bracket that holds up the filter bag when not in in use.
