Makerbot Pla Filament 1.75mm Small Spool MP05796 True Blue (Blue)

Printed 4 of the same game piece in different colors which happen to be different brands. The Maker Bot filament was far superior to the Hatchbox, and the other two. The details were incredible and there was no stringing. It even printed a C-shaped clip with no support!! It defied gravity and printed the top with little error. I forgot to take the bad gcode off my disc and could not believe it printed.

Worked great for me, just wished the cost was lower for such a small amount of PLA filament.

As this is Markerbot's actual filament, it runs smoothly in the machine which is extremely important. No filament jams. The overall color is a solid black, no hit of transparency. Overall a great deal on their standard filament. Will buy again when needed.

Initially I tried it a third party filament that just did not work in the MakerBot. Switched to the name brand and everything worked great. Yes, it's more expensive, but at least you don't have to throw away the pieces you make.

Great filament. Works well in the maker bot mini. My son loves making fidget spinners with it and the color is bright and fun.

It's literally a spool of PLA filament, came quickly.

This is the first filament I have ever had issues with due to it's diameter. The filament is noticeably inconsistent in diameter. You can feel "waves" in the size if you move your hand along it. My first print went OK. It looked like the adhesion was good, and the print looks good.... Then a larger print happened, and it failed. There were layers with sections that were missing filament, and the final part of the print was just missing. The nozzle was fine. I change back to my standard filament, and the print completed successfully. Then I switched back to the MakeBot white. This time the print failed very quickly... within the first few layers... The feed mechanism was making horrible sounds, and the filament was not progressing. After cancelling the print and extracting the filament, it became obvious what had happened. The spool had sections way too thick to feed properly. In the two dozen or so spools of PLA I have purchased, this is the first that has had that sort of problem. Unless you know your printer can handle really poorly sized filament, please take a hard pass on this stuff.
