Feels nourishing to my skin, even when my skin is feeling extra sensitive, seems vaguely moisturizing. I'm a fan. Sorry I'm not a derm or a chemical engineer to give better feedback, but if you're looking to expand into saponins (or just curious) I haven't had this for very long, but it's quickly rising through the ranks to get to my "top three bestest face washes."
