Simply put, you have 3 or more players. Each player, one at a time, flips a card over. On each card is a symbol and a word or phrase. When there are two cards shown with matching symbols, those two players have a "face off" - and as quickly as possible they must name something that is on their opponents card. For example, if your opponent's card says "Movie", you must name any movie, before your opponent names something on your card. Sounds simple, and is really - except you'd be surprised how hard it is to come up with a movie when speed is of the essence. Super fun and all sorts of things come out of everyone's mouth which makes it hilarious. We played with 3 generations in our family - ranging from an 8 year old to a 75 year old and everyone had a blast.

Are these new decks, or do they repeat the decks in the original Anomia box?

They are all new decks. From the back of the box: "This game features six all-new decks with over 425 unique category cards - plus customizable blank cards for adding your own categories!"

Can this be played with more than 6 people since there are more decks?

Yes, you can add a deck and people to the circle but it can get chaotic! We usually split into two groups. You want at least 4 people in a group.

What's the difference between the basic pack and the premium pack?

The premium pack has the extra cards. We really enjoy the game and I'm glad we got the extra cards from the start
