So far so good. Looking to see if it hold up to a few rains and is actually waterproof.I needed this for a vertical installation off the side of my house as a home floodlight (against the side of the house). Couldn’t find one anywhere at the big box stores and finally found this one. Cheap price and quality seems to be decent.It does not come with any attaching equipment but that’s what I needed since I already had a plate from the old light. It matched right up and screwed in perfectly.It does not come with a bulb. But that’s understandable for the price.The front just pulls off to install the bulb. It is a great seal and appears to be very tight.Paint and finish are good and the adjustment screw is tight and solid.

This is an outdoor flood light that is rated and designed to be shined upward. This fixture is meant for permanent installation, operates with "normal" 120 volt wiring, and threads into a standard wet location junction box (1/2" conduit threads). If you do some research and you'll find that the typical, outdoor flood lights with exposed bulbs cannot be aimed above horizontal. (It's against code and potentially dangerous.)This fixture is perfect for landscape lighting: drawing attention to ornamental trees, or lighting up architectural features, etc. It's a hooded so you don't see the light source, you just see what the light does. For my application, I used 2 of these to do a "low angle wash" shining up my huge limestone chimney. Because my light runs from dusk till dawn, I use high efficiency LED Par30 bulbs; the results are dramatic and very pleasing.I say 5 stars out of 5: Sturdy construction, a durable finish, regular 120v wiring (no power supply needed), it works with standard Par30 bulbs (medium light bulb socket), and the price isn't outrageous.

I was so delighted to find that I could purchase these fixtures on Amazon for half the price. A lighting fixture store in my town wanted $40 for each fixture! $40 for each fixture isn’t too bad but I needed 9 of these fixtures! They were easy to hook up and they look AMAZING outside my home! My only issue was how to take the light bulb out the fixture once it goes out because there is no way to grasp the bulb and unscrew it. Thankfully, a fellow Amazon purchaser said that he used a heavy duty plastic shower hook to attach to the bulb and remove it! That plastic shower hook works perfectly for me! I will definitely purchase this fixture again! I also purchased the mounting plates.

Decent outdoor head. Nice thread depth which allows for a gasket and locknut and good angle adjustment. It helps to put a little silicon grease on the o-ring. I discovered that the cover is easy to get off if you just pull out and down (kind of like breaking open a shotgun), instead of twisting and pulling straight out. Either a par20 or R20 fit fine. Like all sealed fixtures of this type the bulb is hard to grasp with the fingers to twist in or out. I like to get some blue painter's tape or duct tape and make a " T" shape out of it with the tape stuck to itself forming the vertical part and the top of the "T" being the sticky side of the tape which I stick to the face of the bulb. Makes it real easy! It is a sealed unit, so LED bulbs don't have the longest lifespan in it. I need to use halogens, so it works great.

Over the years I used this Nuvo fixture to replace older not-as-robust fixtures as they die, corrode, or get broken by landscapers and/or exterior maintenance personnel. Once I use this fixture >>> that's it! I've not had to replace it again! Yes, I've had to replace lamps... but never the fixture.I live in Miami Beach and we have the corrosive Atlantic Ocean breezes that corrode the world. However, this fixture has withstood the test of the wet salty air! I share this Amazon Link to all who want to update/replace their older fixture.It is very tightly sealed. Thus, this will shorten the life of LED lamps, if used. LED lamps require cool air movement to keep the chips on the printed circuit boards cool. This fixture is designed for incandescent lamps and doesn't have any ventilation—nor heat-sink cooling fins—that most LED fixtures have. However, I can *replace* the lamp, unlike integral LED fixtures that require you replace the entire fixture should it start to strobe and/or illuminate.I say, "YES!" Buy these fixtures! Worth every penny. I'm actually shocked at the low price and the high quality!

Good replacement for the one that I had

I had hopes; the lights are good looking and performed as I needed... at first. Then, after six weeks, they simply failed to light. Checked wiring to fixtures: all perfect. Power was present 124v steady. Tried fixtures on two separate circuits: no light. But, oddly, the ground wire was also showing power... likely a short? Or the bulbs burnt out after maybe 8 hours total use? No way to tell. But with a 100% failure rate, I can't bother to use them. On the bright side, Amazon was amazing with its positive response: shipped them back for full credit. You can't count on all products, but at least you CAN count on Amazon customer service.

I've used roughly a dozen of these over the years to replace an aging landscape lighting system fixture by fixture. These have been my go-to, but moving forward I think I'm going to look for something more durable.Good: Affordable, attractive, excellent weather seal, easy to installBad: That weather seal is TIGHT and makes opening it to change the lightbulb later very, very difficult. Getting it open is likely to place some torque on the hinge, which tends to break after a few seasons, meaning replacing the fixture yet again. It's a shame as all it would take is some metal reinforcement around the screw threads, as that's what breaks every time.

Great lights! They sit on my eves and light up my dormers. Highly recommend!

Used this outside with a Philips Hue Par20 bulb. Fits perfectly inside and no need to find an expensive Philips Hue exterior bulb. Will purchase more for sure

Very well built light at a very decent price. Installed one outside for Xmas with a PAR 23 11W LED beam and despite freezing rain, snow, and else it is holding on and dry (ensure lens frame drain hole is facing strait down, it works for me up to -28C with only the small amount of heat generated by the LED bulb). It looks very slick and clean as well and I got but just positive comments about it. Paint seems to old on despite the harsh environment I have exposed it to for the last 2 months. Just grease the O ring for easier reinstall of the lens and its future removal (years with a LED bulb). Very satisfied!
