It is not a managed switch which means it should not be hooked to other switches. This can cause loops and hangups in the network, but if it is the sole switch on a home network or something like that, it is great. It is also very lightweight. I velcro taped mine to the back of a desk area which also houses a server and you do not even know it is there and it is not in danger of falling at all.Great product if you are not trying to get more out of it than it is capable of giving. And at $15 you really cannot beat that.
