Review: 2005 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3L - This cold air intake is the exact same as a K&n at a fraction of the cost. Yes, I know I put the wrong logo on. It's a troll. The only difference in quality would be the filter by K&n which you can pick up cheap. To me, it's the same filter. This is such a great deal for the money. My truck is so responsive now. I press the throttle and the response is instant. No more hesitation. Not sure if I gained horsepower, or torque. Don't really care. My gas mileage went up, that's all I care about. Btw, took all of 10 minutes to install.

A: I put this part on a 1999 Chevy Silverado... The filter is on the passenger side between radiator reservoir and the headlight assembly on the passenger side

The quality of construction and value is great. The fit is not perfect and requires some good mechanic skill. The instructions are lacking. Several OEM parts must be reused but the instructions does not tell you how to make them fit. I like the Chevy orange boots for my Silverado to match the new orange plug wires. I have an overall butter engine performance, plus chrome.
