Q: Will this work for a microwave range hood?

No! It doesnt have a way to stop the microwave from sliding forward . This could be dangerous for children and adults both.

Q: How does microwave secure to the brackets? What keeps it from pulling off the brackets when uou open the door?

It does not secure to the brackets, but if installed correctly it will not fall off the brackets. The space between the top of the microwave and the bottom of the cabinet should be little wriggle room. As such, it will not fall off. It will take a lot to pull it off or for it to slide forward.

Q: I want to put screw through the bottom of these brackets to screw into the "feet" of my microwave. Would this work?

You should be able to do this. The horizontal arms do not have a bottom - they have a top and two sides. In other words, they are angle iron - they are not boxed. This gives you free access to drill a hole in the surface on which the microwave feet will rest.

Q: Can i mount it in dry wall to hold 30 pound microwave?

You must mount the bracket into a 2x4 or stronger structural element behind the drywall. Drywall is flimsy. As to the 30 lbs weight please check with the specs from the company as to whether it can handle that amount. Our microwave is small and not that heavy but it is supported very well.
