The perfect cooking bags. It probably will not be big enough to hold a turkey--but that's not what I wanted them for--they are the perfect size for chicken, pork, fish & beef. Also, would be good for vegetables etc. Highly recommend.

Firstly, I am not interested in cooking a turkey in the oven, I am an amateur mycologist. The cooking bags were used to test a theory about dry heat sterilization using a cooking bag versus a traditional pressure canner. The dry heat method (oven) allows me to use larger containers for the specimens than using pint and quart jars, why would anyone do that, very simply throughput. More final products with less number of sterilization cycles, less energy, less cost. Thank you Wrapok for helping with the tests.

Unable to find anywhere on the box that would confirm "FDA approved and BPA free". Given the misspellings, made in China, etc., I highly doubt these are BPA free, much less FDA approved. Since it involves food in high temperature environment, I didn't want to take a chance. Returned.

I don't cook enough roasts to make these necessary but I love them for a cover for pasta dishes. I don't like to cover these dishes with foil since the cheese sticks to it and the tomato sauce causes a reaction. But one of these bags over the casserole dish is pefect!
