Review: Exactly as I remembered it...55 years ago. - I lived in England until I was 10, then moved to America. My Nan used to give us this, it was called "Radio Malt" at the time. I loved it as a kid and always remember her twirling a spoon of this stuff and giving us the spoon. Never seen it in America and never tasted it since...but, I remembered :) On a nostalgic whim, I started searching the internet for a taste of my childhood and came across this. It wasn't called "Radio Malt" and damned if I remember it having Cod Liver Oil in it, but it must have. Because this tastes exactly as I remember. Never even thought of asking about the ingredients as a Kid. All I knew is a loved the taste and it was supposed to be good for you. Now the carbs are not as bad as I first thought. I only use about 1/2 teapoon, maybe 10 grams, and that's less that 10 grams of carbs. So, not great, but if you don't over indulge it's manageable. And 1/2 teaspon is all I need :) Product took about 2 weeks to get here and I had to sign for it. It was "registered." We weren't here when they tried to deliver it and had to go to post office to pick it up. Packaged very well. I don't know how good it is for you, but I was more interested in the taste and experience of it. And it's exactly as I remember. Is this the same product that we got from England?** A: This is not the same as you were given in England, but taste the same. The one from England is Potters Herbals Malt Extract with cod liver oil **Q: Is this product butterscotch flavor or not? The picture shown says original unflavored, the words below the picture say butterscotch flavor!** A: when I purchased it there was no flavour, it tasted exactly like it did in England, for me there certainly was no butterscotch flavor. **Q: I think my Dad gave this to us as kids 60 years ago; a thick dark paste. I use to take Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil from England also , until they discontinued it's production . I was devastated . So I began to search for a substitute . Then I found this Brand , Potters Herbals . This was just as good if not better than the one I use to use ! It has a slightly sweet taste of Malt & it's in a bigger Glass Container 650 Grams Even though I don't mind a fishy taste or smell this product has no taste or smell of fish . This Company has existed for over 100 years . We all know the benefits of CLO for Brain health , Cardio Vascular & Joint Health etc .. Plus it has the right balance of Vitamin A & Omega 3 . You do not need to take Mega Doses of this stuff . Especially if you take other Omega 3/6 I just take about a Teaspoon . The only downsize is it's not readily available .
