Slim, versatile, surprisingly powerful. My most used clamp
Have bought this clamp repeatedly just because it's SO handy! The best feature of this clamp to me is how slim the metal parts are on the jaws, making it fit easily in small and tight areas. Additionally, they can really CRANK down and provide a ton of force if needed. Reach is small, <4", but perfect for the vast majority of small projects without any extra bulk or weight. I need like ten more of these ASAP!

Greatest little clamps
I had four of these. Bought two more they are so great. Small enough to fit almost anywhere and grip very, very well. Light weight and easy to use. No workshop should be without them.

NIce little woodworking clamp, but won't work on everything
I bought a 24in Bessey clamp years ago for some DIY woodworking projects, and it has often proved indispensable for the task at hand. When I bought this smaller one I thought I'd be getting the same design in a shorter format, but I should have looked closer at the picture. The longer clamp had a ratcheting mechanism and a lock, so you could release the lock first, move the jaw part along the serrated bar, lock it as close as possible to the intended position, and then finally use the screw part to tighten things further once everything was in place. This smaller clamp does not actually have a lock and release mechanism in the jaw, and instead it seems to rely on pressure/friction to "click" into the serrated bar. In other words, once enough pressure is applied by the screw part, the jaw will bend a few degrees and click into whatever is the closest notch on the serrated bar. To its credit this does work and can be quite strong at that, but it is a simpler mechanism and it's not quite as versatile as what I was hoping for.

A heavy-duty option for small projects
Wonderful for small projects, and cheap enough to keep quite a few. Infinitely better than these flimsy ratcheting clamps you can find at any hardware store - more rigid, able to clamp with a lot more force, not prone to flexing back when you depress the trigger. They are described as "light-duty", but are actually quite sturdy - a good, solid chunk of metal, a nice acme screw that's not going to strip any time soon. The only thing to keep in mind is that they have no clutch / ratchet. To lock them, you need to tilt back the bottom jaw and hold it in this position as you tighten the clamp. Not hard, just takes some getting used to if you're unfamiliar with this mechanism.

Nice
I bought these (I bought 3) to make a set (I bought one awhile ago). These are easy to use, hold well, great for small projects. Might be a bit difficult to use, if you have arthritis. You can minimize the problem, if you set the sliding jaw to touch the project, then it's just a slight twist to secure. They're simple and effective. All metal, with wood handle.

Good Clamp, Misleading Description
Bessey is an excellent brand of clamps and well worth having in the shop. It takes a little experience to use this style quickly, but they hold very well. My only complaint is that description says the order is for "one pack" and all of the images have multiple clamps shown. However, it is only for one clamp. The price isn't terrible for one clamp but it's cheaper and my local Home Depot. So, I'm happy with the clamp but feel the description is deliberately misleading. FYI- there was one Q&A about how many were included in the "pack" and this question and answer is in Spanish.
