GOOD SPEECH QUALITY, EASY TO USE
A solid and substantial handset, easy to grip due to its shape. Clear display, larger than average buttons, but not as big as the ones on the BT Big Button range for example, which is perhaps not a bad thing, catering for those who may prefer something that’s a little more discreet. Good audio quality, and amplifies well, although perhaps not loud enough for someone with profound hearing loss. If I had to make one suggestion, couldn’t they have made the front panel on the base white like the rest of it, instead of black? It just looks a little ugly. Good phone otherwise.

Great
Bought this for my Mother who is very deaf and wears hearing aids in both ears. She already has the loudest corded phone of this brand in the hall but wanted a cordless one to be beside her. I'm not technical but set it up ok and programmed in all the family numbers. She can hear very well using it and activates the boost button once on a call. The ringer is not so loud but she can hear the hall phone anyway and would like me to order the supplementary device which flashes when the phone rings. The hall phone and cordless are different models but seem to work alongside each other fine. Early days but so far, happy with it. Phone feels solid and buttons are large and easy to read. Mum is delighted.

Loud ringer but poor speech volume
Bought this phone as I have moderate hearing loss in both ears and wear bilateral hearing aids. The ringer volume is very good but the speech volume is poor, even when turned up full, to the extent I avoid answering the house phone as can hear much better on my mobile

Wonderful product:
Several years ago, I began to use hearing ades. These are very good, but, gradually I found that taking phone calls became difficult at times, and was becoming a chore. I bought this coreless phone, and I am delighted to report that, because of the high amplification mode, I can take calls as I used to do back in the day. This is a fantastic phone, maybe a little tricky to set up initially, but, no real problem. I would also say that the ability to have a talking handset and base may be of considerable assistance to visually impaired persons. Couldn't have asked for a better product. fabulous. I have read a couple of the reviews on this phone, and I do wonder if the reviewers did press the little boost button on the right hand side of the headset to amplify?

295 model is a better option.
Message counter flashes when at zero messages and is static when message received. We also had an intermittent problem that caused the base station to make loud noises late at night and caused a extension phone to ring on one occasion. The 295 version of this phone kit works well however, the 295 model is therefore the safer model to go for. Makers technical support could not fix the 595 model problems, leading me to think the problem is firmware based. Shame as otherwise, it was a good phone kit.

Excellent for hard of hearing
The phone has a very loud ring ,with calls with a volume control from soft to loud with a boost facility to make it even louder. Splendid for the hard of hearing. It is very easy to set up, and has been a godsend. It has been supplemented with two additional hand sets. My only regret is that we didn’t buy these several years ago.
