I have owned higher quality boards and played on some others and yes out of the box, this is indeed a 90$ board and the pucks are not perfect out of the box. if you are expecting tracey or crokinole.ca quality spend the money on them.But, after sanding (did not really need it) the board and pucks gently with 400 grit sandpaper and waxing them with Mother's California Gold Spray Wax, and replacing bumpers with #10 rubber bumpers for a grand total cost of 111 USD (and around 30m of my time) you indeed will have a fine board for family game nights and to sit around with friends and share a few drinks and play.Therefore until someone offers a better board at this price point I will stand behind this and recommend it to others as the best purchase if you are new to the hobby or just want a fun game to play around with friends and family.(note: mine came with scratches on the outside octagon due to shipping but since it does not effect play I could care less as its not meant to be a decoration and will probably get scratched anyways putting it in and out of storage and moving it. So I could careless as the playing field was great just needed was but sanded it slightly as well for good measure.)

If you’re new to this game and just trying to learn and see if it’s all it’s cracked up to be, this is a great board for the price! Literally the first day we had it, within 30 minutes my kids (10, 8, and 4 years old) , my wife, and I playing it, we had a bracket tournament going on! The game is easy to learn and a blast to play. For a first time player, perfect! I’m sure the brand name boards are better but if you’re on the fence, get this and get hooked first.Pegs do start to come out after playing, but that’s what super glue is for. Just do it right off the bat, and you won’t think twice about it until you’re hooked and splurge on an expensive board. Also, don’t just go by the rules given, look up the two ways to score/win (Tournament vs Cumulative) and how many discs/buttons (2v2 vs 4v4). One works better than the other depending on how you’re playing.

The board is the correct tournament circumference, and with some wax, it is usable and not unattractive. The difference to the higher priced boards is that this is basically thinner and made of surfaced MDF, where the other makers are probably using at least plywood, if not hardwood. The gutter seems to be wood, and the whole thing is sturdy enough.At this price, it's a good way to try crokinole without breaking the bank, but if you like it, you'll probably end up buying or making a nicer board later and gifting this one away.

I got this as a Holiday Present from the Mrs. When I opened it one of the side walls slid off the main portion of the board. It appears they didn't do any glue up building this thing. Not really a big deal since a couple of solid whacks from a rubber mallet got it back together. I decided not to glue the sides since it hasn't really fallen apart since.It took us some googling after we read the directions to fully understand how to play, but once we did...wow what a challenging yet simple experience.Another thing to note is the pegs blocking the center hole sometimes pop out when a particularly strong shot sends a puck careening into it. Keep you eyes peeled in these instances since most of the time that peg ends up under a cabinet or in a dog's mouth. They did provide a few extra pegs in case you lose one in the first round.Again I decided not to glue them in as I like the added fun flying bits of wood bring to an already thrilling experience.We've introduced this game to a handful of people and nearly every one of them went out and bought the game the next day.This is a great into item at a quality price.

Great game, quality board with minor blemishes, great price. It's my first crokinole board so I if i didn't know any better I'd be super happy. I wanted to buy more discs so that I could play 4 players without teams. After measuring I find that the hole is about 1 1/8" and the discs are 1" (more like 1 5/32 hole and 31.5/32" discs). If you shop on Amazon or any crokinole site you'll find standard size is 1 1/4" discs and 1 1/8" small. Neither would work on this board. I ordered mini size discs which are 1 3/32" and even these are huge compared to what this comes with. See for yourself in photos. I'll give them a try but maybe with some sanding of the hole they'll work. Also the pegs come loose when you carom off them and need a lot of adjustment mid game. All in all a fine set but unless you can craft your own discs I would get a more standard playing size board. Very confusing choice by the supplier.

A friend told me about Crokinole, and I knew I immediately had to buy a board. This is a very well designed and quality product, and a fantastic price. Super fun game, my buddy and I have really put it through the ringer, and it's held up wonderfully. Haven't had any issues with the pegs popping out like other people have reported, it's just been great. Very sturdy, easy to move around, and just a general great time! Discs also slide on the board very easily without any need for wax powder or anything. 100% going to be a go to fun family game!

This game is an amazing game and I have played it 100 times, ordered this for my husband and it is crap. I honestly would not give it one star or even half a star. It’s warped so all the sand slides right into the middle, which also does not allow for the disk to slide on the outer sections and you don’t even need to touch it for it to move into the center. I contacted the seller about this and they never responded. Board is crap and clearly the seller knew it since they never responded, therefore just stealing money.
