To start out with, this is not your big popper you see at the movie theaters so remember that...... This was easy to setup right out of the box.. it is self stirring and pops almost all the kernels, more that you get with microwave.....2 easy steps, turn on heater and stirrer to heat up for a minute or two, put oil and popcorn in kettle.... that's it....the kettle has two lids that open up as the popcorn comes out and falls to a plastic pan below the kettle...... as soon as you hear the popcorn stop popping, turn off heater and stirrer....this has a handle for tipping the kettle.... this has a light that acts also to keep popcorn warm, not sure about that one..... each batch is big enough for one person so if you have more people you will have to make several batches....the popcorn tasted great... instead of oil I used butter or margarine to get a better butter flavor....the kettle is removable for cleaning...... bottom line, this is great for small batches, pops great, and the price was great......

I love this popcorn maker! It was everything I was looking for! I love the handle so you don't touch the hot pot to get the popcorn out. The look of this is adorable. It comes with 2 measuring scoops so you put in the exact amount of oil and popcorn kernels you are supposed to. It was extremely easy to put together! I'm not very savvy with assembly, and it was easy for me. Read the instructions, and it makes the popcorn perfectly. It comes with the trey, which makes it easy to put on salt when it is all done. It also was the exact size I was looking for - I didn't want anything massive. It is perfect for "movie nights" that I do with my kids! I am very happy I chose this one!!!!!!!

Good popcorn machine, except it is tiny and not that sturdy.

Not joking , bought this when my nephews were two because they were obsessed with popcorn makers at the movies and other places. We have used it for 10 years and it’s still working great. It’s tiny mind you , just enough for a few kids but perfect for movie night. It even got dropped during a move and cracked the side and broke a piece but still functional and working great .

Out of the box easy assembly. A quick wipe down and some review instructions on best options and this is what I found. I purchased Snappy coconut oil, Flavacol seasoning and Orville Redenbacher's white popping corn. I measured 3 tbsp of coconut oil and 1 tsp of the seasoning salt and melted in microwave. Only melted not heated. Next, I turned on both heating elements for 2 1/2 mins added the oil (only 1 measure from the provided scoop) for another minute then added one scoop of corn using the measuring cup that came with the machine. The corn popped out of the tub just like at the movie theatre. The popcorn was amazing. I purposely did this set up to make two batches back to back. I need enough for myself after all. I have the grandkids coming this weekend and thought they would enjoy this. I had to try it so I would look like I knew what I was doing. My husband and brother in law loved it. The kitchen smells like a movie theater. Oh, I almost forgot, the machine comes with popcorn type movie bags. I invested in a shaker to put the flavored salt in. Well worth the investment. This would make a great gift!

Once we started hearing how bad microwave popcorn can be for you we decided to switch. We had tried an air popper but I did not like it. My husband wanted one similar to one at the movie theaters but space is somewhat of a challenge in our kitchen. I found the Pop Pup, read the reviews and decided that we should try it. I am happy to say that we are not in the least disappointed. First and foremost it produces excellent popcorn. I purchased Snappy Popcorn Supplies, Colored Coconut Oil, Gold Medal Prod. 2045 Flavacol Seasoning Popcorn Salt and Arrowhead Mills Organic Whole Yellow Popcorn, turned the Pop Pup into our very own popcorn marvel. My husband would like to add butter but I think that it is fantastic just the way it is. Add to this that the machine is easy to use AND easy to clean and you just can't go wrong.Some of the reviews mentioned the amount of popcorn that the Pop Pup can produce at once is small or not enough. For us, it is the perfect amount. There are usually two or three of us sharing, two adults and one teenager and there has only been one time that we popped a second batch. If you want to pop a large amount at one time then you probably want a bigger machine but for basic snacking of 1-3 people it is perfect and frankly it would be very easy to pop a second or third batch after your first.One of the things that I personally like about this popper is that it is fun, so much so that I look forward to using it. Anything that gives me the motivation to make and have a healthy snack rather than opening up a bag of chips gets five stars in my book..Anything that will motivate that members of my family to do the same deserves far more.You can get the Pop Pup and all you need to make terrific popcorn for under $60. I bought this for personal use. I love popcorn and make it several times a week watching TV. It was smaller than I had thought compared to other poppers. The batches of popcorn that it makes are smaller than I thought it would be. Only 1/3 cup of kernels at a time. I had to make two batches to get the amount of popcorn I like to eat at a time. However, it does work well and the quality of the popcorn is good. As far as cleaning goes, it is a little awkward to do as I had to remove the cooking pot to clean the upper inside and walls of the popper case.
