Size:3-(Pack) For well over 25 years T-88 has been the most widely used structural adhesive for marine and general woodworking use in the United States. Mixed at a 1:1 by volume ratio, T-88 will cure at temperatures as low as 35ºF. When fully cured, it is unaffected by water, oil, kerosene, and many other chemicals. It will not stain wood and is immune to fungus and rot. T-88 is unique in that it may be applied to damp wood, provided it is worked well into the surface.T-88 is a high-performance, non-brittle, two-part epoxy adhesive designed to give superior results under adverse conditions. The adhesive may be used without modifications in normally fitted joints, and will cure in any thickness without shrinkage. T-88 is clear amber and becomes virtually invisible when varnished. T-88 exhibits outstanding adhesion and permanence on a wide variety of materials, and is endorsed by leading designers, builders and organizations.

Great epoxy
I buy this epoxy all the time and it works well for metal to metal and wood to metal. I always buy the half gallon - as I recently did. I purchased these containers specifically to get a sturdy bottle with a nozzle which is necessary in my application - only to find that I received bottles with screw top lids not nozzles. I will use the epoxy but it is irritating to specifically order the product in the image and get something else.

Would not cure. Total fail
I tried twice to test bond strength on wood. I mixed 1:1 thoroughly and applied to the wood, watching for starved joints. On inspecting the items after 48 hours, the epoxy had not cured. So, I tried again...letting it rest clamped for 72 hours. Now on the 4th day the epoxy has not cured. Both tests were conducted indoors, so the temp was always between 65 and 75 F. The expiration of return date has passed, so I'm stuck with epoxy that does not work. The gluing I'm doing must be perfect, so I will need to use West Systems or something from Jamestown Distributors that will most likely work, and can be returned or at least addressed if it fails.

Worked great, time will tell if it lasts.
Used this epoxy to fill in rotted/caveated wood deck/flooring. Let soak & then mixed up a overfill batch. My only regret is that I didn’t use heat to release all the bubbles. I’m going to sand a bit before painting wood in final stage. Uploaded pics of small fill-ins when it dried clear, pic of major wood damage, pic of damaged wood being filled

Make sure you get the mixture 100% correct
I bought this t-88 as a test to find a cost effective, reliable epoxy for filling gaps and cracks in wood burls. I had only worked with the double tube epoxy you find at your local home improvement store. After mixing and filling a couple of batches I found that some weren't hardening completely and remaining slightly tacky while others did harden fine. All of the material was out of the same bottles. My only conclusion is since I was eyeballing the quantities, I somehow was over or under on the mixture. So going forward I will be much more careful about the formula.

Wow the strength
I bought this epoxy for joining the pieces together on a queen size bed project. The main field panels have tongues that fit into grooves in the top and bottom horizontal rails. Also, those rails have tenons that fit in mortises cut into the corner posts. I used this epoxy in all of those joints, in addition to that I used it on the sides of the panels to glue them to each other as well. I'm pretty confident that I could push this thing off of my roof and it would remain in one piece! This epoxy does NOT play around. The only negative was that after using it the epoxy would creep up and out of the nozzle, run down the bottle and all over the place. This happened even with capping it off. To avoid this you need to keep squeezing the bottle while you turn it right side up again after filling your mixing container. There's a bubble that needs to pop in order to relieve pressure, it's hard to explain but it really caused a mess throughout the project. I ended up sitting the bottles in plastic Italian ice cups to contain the mess. That's the only reason I took a star away. Other than that it's use in my project was great.

Top Quality Epoxy
I've been building "Heairloom Quality" Custom Woodwork for 40+ years, I survive by "word of mouth" - I don't use any material or product that's not the Very Best, It costs a little more to do things the "Old School Way" - but the results are in the Finished Product. System Three Epoxy is the Best, the strongest and the easiest epoxy adhesive to use. Amazon is the Best Price for this First Class Product (when using exciot species, wipe the area to be glued down with acetone and allow it to dry) Thanks Again Amazon and to all who take the time to review the things we who use - so others can know)

Excellent for Woodworking
This was my first use of a longer set time epoxy for woodworking. Directions were easy to follow and the product performed exactly as described. The standard mix ratio provided at least 45 minutes of time to work with the epoxy. The epoxy takes approximately 24 hours to fully cure and is very hard and durable. Avoid overfilling cracks and voids, as the epoxy is not easily sanded or scraped.

Something went wrong after the Gel Coat ! Update 3 months later changed from 4 star to 5 star!
I glued 3/4 "Coosa Bluewater composite board for my additional helm console project and the epoxy set up after 12hrs having a rock hard bond. What happened after I applied the Gel coat was disappointing because the epoxy seam reacted with the Gel coat which left a tacky surface. At this point I tried brushing some epoxy catalyst from another product hoping it kicks in the cure. If I had no such reaction I would of given it a five star.Update three weeks later. The catalyst I applied from another resin product helped cure the tacky areas which I described above. Also, the MFG rep recommended using System Three SB-112 when applying a Gel coat over the resin. I changed my opinion from 3 to 4 stars and as stated would have given 5 stars if I didn't encounter the reaction which could of been caused by either the Gel coat or T-88. Using T-88 without the Gel coat is a clear 5+. Customer service were very responsive.Update 3 months later changed from 4 star to 5 star! I have now mounted the new hydraulic helm and Morse control after mounting the new console on the aft deck. It has no signs of weakness. Very sturdy. I have also since used the same Gel coat for the wheelhouse deck and the Gel coat exhibited some areas which did not fully kick in were as this only happened previously at the new console epoxied joints. Not sure why so I upgraded to 5 star and would recommend this epoxy to a friend.
