I'm Pleased with my Rii Mini Keyboard!
I'm a Caregiver and I spend hours at a Table within a few feet of my patient. I got tired of a Laptop on WiFi so I purchased a small form factor PC. and Loaded it with a TB Laptop Hard Drive. I put the Monitor on top of the PC and began using a full size keyboard. Ops... There was the problem. The keyboard took up more Table top than the Computer and monitor combined. I saw a review of a single chip computer using a keyboard like this one. I searched Amazon for them and found lots to choose from. I read the reviews and comments and picked the Rii. I am very pleased with it. The Rii takes up very little Table Top space and can even sit on top of the PC when not in use. I plugged in the USB Dongle and my Windows 7 Pro found it and installed the driver automatically. There was enough charge on the Internal Battery to test and make sure everything worked. No problems. I then plugged the provided USB Charging Cord into the back of the Rii and kept on working while it was charging. The Charging Cord even has a USB connector so you really don't use up a USB Port while charging.Granted, you don't want to write a novel on a Mini Keyboard so I tried plugging in the original full size keyboard and I found that I could use the Mini and the Full Size at the same time. SO; that means that if you have a long winded email or a report to type, you can just plug in the full size Keyboard, do you typing, and unplug it when you finish. Perfect! The Rii come with a small covered compartment on the bottom to hold the USB Dongle so it won't get lost if you will just put it away. The Laptop style Touch Screen Window works just fine and again, you can have a full size Mouse and the Rii working at the same time. Again, Perfect.Great product, quick Amazon Prime two day delivery. What else could you want?

Worth every penny
I will admit, I didn't have high hopes for this mini keyboard. I had never heard of the brand before and some of the reviews seemed too good to be true, and with the price as low as it was, I was ready for this to be a stinker......oh how I was wrong. The box it is packaged in, while a bit plain, was perfectly-sized and securely held everything in place. Immediately I knew this wasn't some fly-by-night operation that was mass-producing crud and shipping to the unsuspecting masses.Holding the actual device still worried me at first. This sucker is light....almost too light. I was sure there wasn't any internals whatsoever. Having said that, it is solid. I don't have any fears of this thing snapping in my hands. The previous reviews and promotional material are accurate. There is no need for setup. Simply plug-in the wireless USB nub receiver that is conveniently located in a compartment on the underside of the keyboard and turn it on using the switch on the top right and wait a few moments for the computer to recognize and do it's magic and BOOM it's up and running. Response on the trackpad is very accurate and the inclusion of multi-touch and gesture control is outstanding. The keys are clicky and spaced perfectly for those of us used to smartphone keyboards (both touchscreen and physical). The backlight is perfect for this application. It's bright enough to be seen even with dim light and there are no perceptible dead spots that you typically find with cheaper remotes and keyboards that don't have independent lights for each key. I've used this thing for a couple weeks now with my HTPC and it has become my default keyboard. This made for a worthy replacement of the always reliable Logitech K400.

Great For Kodi & Raspberry Pi
Pretty nice mini keyboard and I mean mini. I like the back-lit display for laying in bed and working my smart tv & Kodi. The unit recharges via USB and uses a Blue Tooth Dongle. Range is good for what it's used fo,r and battery life is ok before it needs recharging. You can tell when it needs to be plugged in as it starts communicating sloppily. It has a ton of buttons that do about everything you want them to do w/o having to program them. It is perfect for working a KODI related unit on a Raspberry Pi, if that's your thing. It also shuts itself down if not being used.I liked it so well I bought two (2). Wish the battery life was a tad longer, which is why it received 4 and not 5 stars, but I'd purchase another one in a heartbeat. Price was right, delivery was quick, and I'd purchase from the company again w/o hesitation.

Great little unit - backlit is what you want!
Great little remote! Worked prefectly with my M8S-II Kodi box. It worked right out of the box. The RF receiver is under the panel on the back of the unit. The supplied USB cable doubles as the charge cable (no wall brick included) and a USB extender to use with the USB receiver to position to a better line of sight. The unit is highly portable, lightweight and rechargeable (Li-Ion - no other batteries needed!)The backlit keys are a much desired plus and is one of the reasons I went with this model. You can toggle the lit keys on and off - plus the unit will power save and turn the light off if you don't use the unit for a while. The only downside is the spacebar key is not backlit...The touch pad is not bad response wise and works good for its purpose.NOTE: unlike most of the remotes that come with Kodi boxes, this keyboard is like a standard keyboard and suits well for a Windows environment...it does not have a Android "back" key...instead you use the "Esc" key to emulate that function.

Good, but not all the functions worked for me
So here is the story of this review. I have an android box which is hooked up to a tv. I had a remote i used for it, a F-10 Pro. I had that remote for 3 years. It finally broke, so I decided to get something different. I had seen this remote before, but the F-10 was recommended by a friend. I bought this remote for several reasons. 1. I thought it would be easier to use the keyboard than on the F-10, and 2. I wanted to see how a mouse pad would compare to an air mouse (the F-10 remote acted as an air mouse). I read some reviews, and most people said that the buttons pretty much work with android. So I ordered this. This is my experienceLOOK and FEEL:This remote looks well built, and feels great in your hands. It has a rubber feeling, the size and ergonomics are great for a small keyboard/mouse combo. The buttons feel great when you click, and the mouse pad works like its supposed to. its not as sensitive as a regular mouse pad, but it does the job.FUNCTIONALITY:This is were this remote lost stars for me, and made me return it for another F-10. While MOST of the functionality was there, not all the buttons worked for me. The volume up and down, the play/pause, and forward and reverse buttons did not work. I even tried playing with the settings on the box and KODI to see if there is something that could be done to make them work to no avail. If you do some research on this keyboard, you see that some people have similar issues. the most well known issue is that the 'home' button button doesn't take you to the home screen. Most people said that the 'e' button would take you to the home screen. This didn't work for me either.Another issue that I had is that there is no "go back" button for when you are watching movies. instead, after reading up on this remote, people said that the 'backspace' button would take you back. This did work for me, but the button is not conveniently located. a function like that should have its own predominant button. this keyboard has 4 buttons for the mouse (2 for the left mouse click, and 2 for the right), but no dedicated go back button.I also found the two handed use of the mouse pad annoying. To see if the problems I was having were an issue with my Android box, I plugged the dongle into my laptop which is running windows 10. this fixed the volume problem for me, but still the play/pause functionality wasn't there.I have to also mention that I didn't really try to determine the maximum range of this remote, since the tv is only about 10-12 feet away from the couch.Another benefit of this remote (and I really like this feature) is that there is an on off switch on the top. I have a toddler who like to take the remote and press the buttons while pointing it at the t.v. I was able to turn of the remote, give it to him, and not have to worry about him changing anything.OVERALLThis is a good remote, and if the functionally works for you, I would even say that this is a great remote. However, I would have to admit that even if this remote would have worked like promised, after using it for a few hours I missed the old remote. This is just a little bit too big for my taste. If you are looking for a remote like this, this is a good one to get. However, be careful, as there are knockoffs. I don't know if mine was a knockoff or not (it didn't seem so), but buy from a reputable seller.

Great little integrated keyboard and mouse
I got this for my media room PC, which is also connected to an arcade cabinet in the same room. I have a lot of use cases where I need to do one or two things with a keyboard or mouse, but not enough to make dealing with a full-sized keyboard and mouse worthwhile. In particular, when I'm using my PC through my arcade cab, keeping a keyboard nearby was a pain. This little dealie solves that problem beautifully. It's extremely small and lightweight. I actually put a piece of velcro on the back of it so I can attach it to my arcade cab when I'm using that and it's always close at hand when I need it. Buttons (can you really call them "keys?" are responsive and there are nice features like the ability to turn off tap-to-mouse-click if you're running into issues with that. Also a shortcut for CTRL-ALT-DELETE, which I have found very useful.I wouldn't want to navigate menus or browse the web *for hours* with this device. Travel distance on the mouse pad is necessarily limited, so moving the mouse around a lot can get tedious, but for cases where you just need to launch Steam in Big Picture mode or want to be able to send messages while doing a primary activity with a controller, it's just about perfect.

Great device wish i found it sooner.
Honestly i barely ever write reviews but i love this little thing so i had too. As a pc gamer who likes to use a xbox controller and hook my PC up to my TV to play on the couch or in bed, this thing is a life saver. I cant tell you how many times it has come in handy. No more lugging a crappy wireless keyboard and mouse fiddling with it in my lap to do simple things. Now i just pick this thing up and can do anything. Ive used to it chat in games, put in console commands in skyrim/fallout, all tab or bring up the steam overlay to check on other things, etc. It can do anything a keyboard and mouse can do. Its pretty much a remote control for your pc. Its costs barely anything, you can use it in the dark, typing is like typing on one of those old side kick phones and the mouse is doable. Reception wise i havent had it cut out on me once. Its also light as a feather and is comfortable to use. The only real downfall of it is that the touchpad is a little iffy. But really what can you expect for 2 inch square, sensitivity wise its fine its just takes a few swipes to get across the screen. Wish i found this thing sooner.

Multiple problems with this model
This is the 3rd mini keyboard I've owned. The other two were different cheaper models. I've been really disappointed with this model. At first glance, the unit seems well built and sturdy. After using it, it is clear there are some real issues. The first thing I noticed is that when the unit is on there is an annoying.blue light that stays powered on even when the unit isn't being used, this light will eventually turn off after 3 minutes though. There's no need for this light to be on and is so annoying that I have to shut the unit off after I set it down. No other mini keyboard I've seen does that, others only have it stay off for 5 seconds after startup.Second, the pointer speed is very slow. I had to bump up the mouse pointer speed a great deal compared to my other mini keyboards I've used and I think I know why.Third, the mouse pad isn't very accurate which might be why the speed was reduced in an attempt to try and counter its inaccuracy issues.Fourth, rebooting from sleep takes several seconds rather than being instantaneous like other models.I got this model because it was more expensive and I hoped would provide better functionality over other models. The one thing this model has is an LED backlight, but for me at least, the downfalls of this product don't outweigh the benefit of a backlight. I've switched back to using one of my older more heavily worn mini keyboards.Update after owning for a couple months: it's broke now. Enter key produces ASDF. I've spilled nothing on it. By far the worst mini keyboard I've owned. Back to the old model I've had for 4+ years.

Read the listing!
The mousepad (trackpad) is very inaccurate, a problem with many replicas. I was assured this is a genuine Rii product, so can't understand why the trackpad is so bad. Also, its a US keyboard layout, not a UK layout, though this is clearly stated in the listing, so my own fault for not reading the listing properly.Nowhere near as good as my original Rii I8 mini from several years ago. This has clearly been built down to a cost, the build quality is ok at best.It works, and thats how its got 3 stars, but certainly not up to the standard of my original one.All companies seem to do this, they get a good reputation on a product, then they make the product so much cheaper and crappier, just hoping its previous good reputation will keep people buying it.Ok, so this new one has a backlit keyboard, but I'd have preferred to have been able to buy the original one, which was actually very good indeed.
