My Roommate Is a Cat: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

I was overjoyed to see that this series was available for purchase. I even got my mom watching this series, a bit, which is a bit rare these days. This comes with a paper sleeve, discs in fine condition, and a few cat stickers! I haven't used those stickers yet, but I'm glad to have them regardless. In typical Crunchyroll style, captions are ONLY available if you select Japanese language, while the dubbed version has NO subtitles. I wish this was different, but its CR's inane decision. Otherwise, the series itself is wonderful and relatable, focusing on a mystery writer and his cat, even though it follows a different trajectory than the manga. So, I'd definitely recommend a purchase of this item.

While I don’t put this in the great anime category it is very good. It’s pretty unique in ways which helps set it apart from others since there are so many animes being put out these days and unfortunately most of them are getting repetitive and although they may be good it’s nothing special but this one has a special twist to it. The characters are all really good in their own way and it’s a pretty touching anime seeing all the characters come to help Subaru and how he begins to change. It also has some emotional scenes that is really pretty sad seeing Subaru realize how much effort his parents put in to include him and how he started to realize how much he missed out on. I would recommend this one as it has a touching story and is entertaining.

A slice of life comedy featuring a man who, through developing a relationship with his cat, gets over the death of his parents and his self inflicted isolation. A REALLY cute story and if you are a cat lover it is a MUST BUY. My children also particularly love this anime.

This is one of the greatest animes I’ve ever seen it’s funny, cute, and heartwarming it’s perfect for cat lovers!!!

The man is a hermit that doesn't really connect with anyone. After his parents die this became worse. When visiting their grave he finds a cat and the cat gives him inspiration for a new book. From there you see the episodes through the man's eyes then when the episode is almost over they show you how it was for the cat. It's a cute little series for cat lovers.

As opposed to the product description the cat is not just a little fur ball. The main protagonist in the story Mikazuki Subaru is a young man who has always found his life between the pages of the books he reads and begins to write. At a young age he loses his parents who have always supported him and he becomes a recluse hiding in his world of books. By happenstance a stray kitten comes into his life and becomes his Muse. The story is seen through both the man and the cats eyes. Both have suffered tragedy in their lives but some how with the help of third and fourth party characters learn to help each other and to open doors they themselves had closed. This is a heart warming story that you'll thoroughly enjoy and watch more then once. Oh, the title song will borrow its way into your brain until you have to find the English translated version. If you enjoy the stroy let me know.

I can't say that this anime will leave you on the edge of your seat or anything. Honestly, it's just a (mostly) feel good anime about a shy writing nerd and a cat that needs him as much as he (unknowingly) needs her. It's a wholesome story and the writing is clever. The first half of the anime will often come from the main character's perspective while the second half recounts the same events from the cat's perspective. There's no profanity, nudity, or political topics- it's just a wholesome watch that will resonate with anyone who's had the pleasure of having a cat.

Definitely a great and fun anime for pet lovers. Great for all ages.
