He does not double up on insole.He cannot live without his footprint insoles - he loves skateboarding. **Q: What if i dont have flat feet and I use them?** A: That's perfect. Hence why you can put them in the over 235degrees for 8min then immediately into your shoes and walk around so they mold specifically to your feet. **Q: Can these be cut down after they are molded to fit a smaller shoe size?** A: According to the company, you can only cut down to the stitching. The Elite model allows for full custom cutting. You may be able to get away with cutting it down and restitching it yourself for the other models. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Marketing gimmick *by C***S on April 17, 2017* I've now used these for a few skate sessions in my vans pro sk8 hi shoes. I've come to the conclusion that these soles are just a marketing gimmick. While yes, I've seen the demo vids and do agree that the it's interesting technology, I don't believe a shoe insole, or at least this implementation, is the right application. Future iterations of the product may change my mind, but these specific soles are a step down from the stock insoles in my shoes.My main complaints:1) They are much thinner than stock vans pros insoles. The result is less cushioning. In a way this might be a good thing for some scenarios(i.e. you can feel the skateboard better), but the tradeoff is a less plush overall experience. The claim is that the tech foam provides superior cushioning, especially when landing tricks and on large drops, but in my experience this just isn't the case. The non-tech cushioning of my stock insoles did a much better job protecting the soles of my feet than the FP insoles did. Big drops, primos...etc - none of these felt any better with the FP insoles than my stock insoles, and at the end of the session, my feet were just as fatigued, if not more. IMHO they just don't perform as advertised, and non-skating comfort is degraded.2) The custom molding process didn't seem to actually mold anything. In product videos I've seen, when heated in the oven in preparation for molding, the foam was described as "swelling" so that it better captured the imprint of your foot and led to a custom fit. This didn't happen. After the recommended temp and time in my oven(measured witih 2 oven thermometers for accuracy), the insoles had not swelled at all. And after wearing for 30 minutes, the shape of the molded insole was no different from the unmolded pair that I purchased for my wife. It's possible that I got a defective pair. I'm reluctant to shell out more $$ to see if I got a defective pair, but if, for some reason, I have the opportunity to try again and see a difference, I will update this review accordingly.If you're using these for other purposes or to replace insoles in shoes other than vans pros, YMMV, but based on my experience, I wouldn't expect much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best insoles *by J***Y on January 8, 2015* Very prompt shipping and everything as described.
