How to use a JINS & VICO watch winder: Clockwise Mode2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting and the cycle repeats, turning speed is about 8 turns in 1 minute. Counter-clockwiseIt's same setting with the Clockwise mode, the difference is the turning direction.Note: If your watch can only be winded clockwise, please do not choose this mode. Most automatic mechanical watches can be winded fully in this mode, but some brand not. Such as “Jaeger” etc. Clockwise+ Counter-clockwiseClockwise 2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting then Counter-clockwise 2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting and the cycle repeats, the speed is also about 8 turns in one minute. It is an easy mode, you don’t need to know how your watch has been winded, in this mode, the winder never stops. If you want to keep this watch with you for a long time, select this mode. None-Intermittent clockwise + counterclockwiseClockwise 5 minutes turning then counter-clockwise 5 minutes turning. This cycle will repeat for 3 hours then rest for 9 hours before beginning again. The mode operates on a daily basis, the watch will be fully winded within 3 hours. Then the winder will stop for 9 hours for you to get a good rest then after 9 hour resting, it starts working again.NOTE:1. Do not use a lont time stop watch to start, you can manually wind it and then put it into the winder.2. Excellent Fit 'n Finish and Great 'Bang-for-the-Buck'
I placed this winder in the safe about three weeks ago, so I cannot speak for its longevity - I am hopeful the drive mechanism will endure, but that remains unknown for now. The cabinet is definitely classy and good looking with plenty of inside visibility. It seems to be strong with a robust structural integrity. Hinges are chrome finish, and the buttons and selector switches on the back are high quality. The cushions are very soft; the only suggestion I would have is to provide larger cushion options for a man's wrist. I have watches requiring folded polishing cloths to better hold the watch around the cushion. The reader can see one example of a cloth under the cushion in a photo for this review. I have a couple heavier watches that probably would not be a good fit, but for the most part, this winder will easily accommodate most automatic watches. This winder has multiple settings: CW, CCW, CW-CCW, Intermittent, etc., with various ON/OFF times. I preferred the one with three hours intermittent CW-CCW and nine hours at rest, which is easier to select a watch b/c it is resting in the morning and night, when I would likely be changing my attire. I leave the LEDs cluster ON, as it gives off a blue ambient light, which looks quite nice. In my case, the winder replaced some cube-like winders that went kaput and are unfixable. The cabinet is at the bottom of our main home safe, and I like the way the windowed door opens from the top. Anyone considering this winder should be aware of its size, but it does provide room for eight (8) watches in a really attractive and functional enclosure. The price point at less than $380 is quite attractive. Very satisfied. From the initial assessment, this winder likely will be durable for years to come, and I am very satisfied with the price and quality. I just hope the internals are as good as it looks on the outside.

Well made and will extend the life of your automatic mechanical watches
I was pleasantly impressed with this 8 watch winder box made specifically for watches that are automatic mechanical watches. It's the first time I ever purchased a used product from a retailer on Amazon but I have a large watch collection and I plan to purchase a second one since if I didn't know that it was previously used, I would swear it was new. The instructions are clear and I can gauge how well it's working by several of my automatic watches have visible power reserve displays that tell me how well the product works. I believe from what I've read from the manufacturer and elsewhere that this will extend the life of my automatic mechanical watches. The manufacturer even offers (1) of (4) free items for purchasing their product. Overall, it appears to be well made and will save me a lot of time as well as extend the life of my automatic watches so it's worth the expense even though I found the price to be much less than most of the other models. For a watch collector, it's a necessity and I wish they had a version that could accommodate (12) automatic watches. Nevertheless, I purchased a second unit which should cover most of the automatics in my collection. I also like the glass "window" that enables me to choose which watch I want to wear and see how fast the power reserve display goes back to capacity. I recommend this item to anyone with multiple automatic watches that want to make sure that they last as long as possible and don't have the time to manually recharge the power reserve or reset the time and other features like calendar information every time they want to wear one of their automatic mechanical watches. The blue light in the pictures doesn't do the product justice as it looks much cooler in person. The lock works properly and the AC to DC adapter is really all you need as they work fine without batteries as long as you have 120 volts AC nearby. Currently, I'm in the middle of several projects so I have the two watch winder boxes temporarily in my basement. Once I have appropriate space on my first floor, I plan to relocate the watch winder boxes to display the watches as the boxes themselves are very attractive. I'm so relieved to purchase these boxes as it frees up a lot of time for any watch collector with a large amount of automatic watches. Even the instructions are clear and the units cycle on and off without any need to adjust the (4) settings.

Now it is just a nice looking watch stand...
The winder is now 2 months out of warranty and two of the winder wheels have stopped working. For almost $350 I expected a lot better.

When you collect high quality watches, you just need this!
The media could not be loaded. This is a must have for a watch collector who appreciates the only jewelry men need: a good watch. I had my watches in a case but since they are mostly kinetic I needed this to avoid having to keep winding them every time I needed to change them. My collection includes two Rolex, one Breitling, an Omega, one Seiko Kinetic for every day, one Citizen solar power that has no need to rotate and same for the Movado, but yes I like them here. This case is made of high quality components and looks great in my bedroom. The finish is made out of shiny carbon fiber. Surprisingly it is extremely quiet, I was afraid it would wake me up when working but it does not. This can be powered by an outlet or with batteries. The 4 motors are independent with 4 modes of operation for each one, for clockwise or counterclowise. or for a mix of both. There is no synchronization so it is nearly impossible to have them all 4 rotating exactly at the same shape in case you're that OCD...I am but getting used to this. There is a blue LED on top that can be manually turned on/of via button on the back. When you open the lid the motors pause until closed again. Overall, great way to display your watches while they wind. I highly recommend. If you find my review helpful please vote as such.
