Arnott Reman Front Right Air Strut - Mercedes-Benz 03-09 E-Class (W211)/ 05-11 Cls-Class (W219) - W/Airmatic & Ads, Amg

I ordered 2 of these same parts. They have very detailed instructions on inspection and installation. The 1st one that I purchased was defective per the inspection instructions provided so I sent it back and got a no hassle refund right away. The second one worked great. I did not get a refund for return my shipping nor did they offer expedition of the second unit :(

All Airmatic air-struts and springs will eventually fail. Arnott remanufactures these parts and sells with a lifetime limited warranty. They also buy back the old cores. So don't forget to arrange to send your old one back to lower the cost of this repair even more.

I ordered from Autozone, received, opened box and observed no air pressurizing the Air Strut immediately! See pic. The rubber air bladder should be bulging outward into the RED trace. I was all set up in garage to install but now my car is still flat. Arnott told me that the air system can leak over time since it's sealed with 0-rings and metal to rubber seals throughout ... so be very aware of that:My thoughts, feelings on day 1 are that: 1) Arnott QC or Quality Control is not as good as Mercedes-Benz. No surprise. Even the opening Arnott paperwork in box says, "This product is pressurized... air spring should be firm, resemble the image and if not contact the Retailer." ( I didn't take pic of that standard issue box paperwork but it does show the inflated air bladder.2) We may receive product that leaks and drops suspension flat or more quickly over time or has other defects TBD. Lifetime Arnott warranty to Purchaser is great. But we might end up performing this labor/task of a) Experiencing FLAT SUSPENSION shutting down car again b) Diagnosing air suspension somehow c) Contacting Reseller (Autozone) d) Ordering warranty replacement e) Uninstalling defective Arnott Strut f) receiving hopefully of good strut g) Disassembling & Re-assembling new Strut process AGAIN which is a BIG DEAL to DIY'rs h) etc.... Aftermarket items may fail more frequently. Crossing my fingers.I'll revise results here.

Glad I found this remanufactured unit before I took it to the dealer. Probably saved three times the cost. Replacement was pretty straightforward with the supplied instructions and YouTube videos. Been installed a month and no problems yet.

Working flawlessly at a fraction of the price of the OEM replacement, apparently it is better too, time will tell if the lifetime warranty would be needed.Arnott themselves struggle to stock enough of these units, so I had to source this one from amazon, life saver!
