The brightest, happiest loops on the market.
These are the best potholder loops that have ever been on the market. Remember those bland, dull, boring potholder loops when you were a kid? Hard to stretch across the loom? Lots of washed out pink, yellow, red, and green loops? THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN THIS PRODUCT!! I've purchased several bags of this product as well as the bag that comes with a loom, and several single color bags. After making over 30 potholders, I've had less than 20 loops that would not stretch across the loom. Each bag I've purchased (enough for about 55+ potholders) contains more than enough extras to make up the difference. These loops make beautiful, thick, durable potholders!! All off the bags I've purchased have contained loops that are as vibrant and saturated as those pictured (even better than some of the photos). NOTE: I'm an adult and purchased these for my own use as a less demanding alternative to knitting or crocheting; AND a more constructive way to keep my hands busy than reaching into a bag of chips! With the assortment of interesting, vivid colors, I've been creating beautiful designs. Children will love using these loops, especially if they are budding artists and designers, or kids who love pattern recognition games. If you're a parent, you'll love creating potholders with your kids. Notes that one reviewer says her young child found these loops hard to work with, although I've not seen loops that are easier to work with. With these wonderful loop colors and quality, my potholders have become legendary. I give them as gifts in sets of 4.

GREAT COLORS, QUALITY MATERIAL, CONSISTENT SIZE
I've posted photos of three potholders that I've made. These are all made with the Harrisville loops. There's the "6 Color Rainbow", the "Houndstooth", and the "12 Color Rainbow." Here's how to make them. There are 18 posts on each side of the loom. For the "6 Color Rainbow," warp and weave are the same, and the pattern is: 3 red, 3 orange, 3 yellow, 3 green, 3 blue, 3 purple. For the "12 Color Rainbow," you also use groups of 3 of the same color, but the warp and weave are not the same. Also, please note, I used 3 shades of green. WARP: 3 deep purple, 3 royal blue, 3 soft turquoise, 3 of green #1, 3 of green #2, 3 of green #3. WEAVE: 3 yellow, 3 orange, 3 salmon, 3 red, 3 fuchsia, 3 light purple. Six colors each for warp and weave, thus, 12 colors. (I looked up "rainbow" on Wikipedia and found some interesting info, by the way.) For the Houndstooth - this is a basic pattern that came with the metal Harrisvile loom. I used purple and green. G = green and P = purple. Warp and weave are the same. GGPPGGPPGGPPGGPPGG. In other words, 2 loops of one color alternating with 2 loops of the other color. You will have 5 pairs of the color you start with, and 4 pairs of the other color, for the warp and the same for the weave. These loops are the best I've used. In the past, I've used other types of loops that are clearly poor quality. Some are not cotton, and some are so inconsistent in size that they're almost impossible to stretch over the loom. I'm so happy that I discovered these Harrisville loops. These loops are quality cotton, very nice colors and consistent sizes. They're a pleasure to use. I have the metal Harrisville loom - that's the way to go, in my opinion. I don't like the plastic looms. I use my fingers for most of the potholder-making process. When it gets tight at the end of the process I use a crochet hook - about a "J" or "I" size. I recommend a strong plastic crochet hook or, better, an aluminum crochet hook. I don't use the hook that came with my loom. This is a fun, pleasant and relaxing hobby for adults and kids. The potholders make great gifts. I like to listen to music as I make potholders. The Harrisville loops - they're just the best. No complaints at all! By the way you can get bags of individual colors, too. Enjoy! If you like crafts and making pretty things, you'll probably like making these.

Good quality potholder loops and good mix.
These are great extra loops for the potholder loom. They are cotton and have some stretch but not as much as nylon loops. The potholder that these make is quite a bit bigger than the nylon loops make. I got a good mix a colors. A little more Peacock than the other colors but I'm happy with the mix. I can make a lot of potholder with this bag. My bag had 29 Red 31 Pink 12 Peach 14 Orange 28 Yellow 28 Lime Green 12 Green 62 Peacock 17 Light Blue 31 Blue 21 Purple 14 Dark Purple

Not just for kids
As an adult, I have made potholders on potholder looms for years. It is a craft I am able to do during very stressful times when other hobbies like knitting require more brain power than I can muster. I don't have kids and can't say how this would go over with kids first hand, but several friends have reported fond memories of making potholders as children. The set that these loops are made for is very sturdy. It comes with three bags of loops to make up to 6 potholders. I ordered Lotta Loops cause I knew I'd run out. Then I ordered another bag. The main problem with the loom set and the Lotta Loops bag is that neither come with white or black loops. Some of the pictures on the box show potholders with white loops. As far as I can tell, you have to order those colors directly from the manufacturer. Shipping charges there are more than I'd like to pay, esp since shipping is free on Amazon with Amazon Prime. Other wise the loops are fine. They all fit the loom. The aren't too stringy and don't unravel much.

I like it but my daughter don’t like it

The loops are fine, great colours, but the picture is deceiving, this set does not include the loom. Pricey!
