Is there another 50 Amp circuit breaker recommended for the 55 lb thrust X series motor?

Unknown, I am using the 50 amp CB that came with the motor. I am sure there are suitable replacements out there to use.

Can I connect to a 36v 40ah battery?

No 12 v for me only , heavy unit , uses a lot of battery if on max thrust Stick with min Kota

What gauge wire is on this motor?

you need at [east #4-6 to feed your motor

Can this be rotated around so I can use it on front of my boat
