Good examples and organized well
I bought this book for my 7th grader. He feels the examples are helpful, but the questions are at easy side. Itโs a decent book overall.

Not as helpful as expected.
Thought this was supposed to prep a student during the summer gap. Book makes many assumptions that you retained everything since Algebra I (not sure about your kid however we took geometry between Algeria I and Algebra II). Did not do any kind of review and threw precalculus in by the 7th lesson. My child (and my husband and I) got frustrated trying to follow the unexplained steps. We had to use Google alongside this book to understand it and professors on YouTube lessons proved parts of this book to be wrong. I'd return it if I weren't past the return window.

Good workbook
I think this book workbook is easy to use. I enjoyed learning and it helped me a lot with my college class. The only thing I would like to have had is an explanation or example of how using this kind of math would work in life.

DO. NOT. BUY. PERIOD.
This might as well be the most confusing textbook I've ever seen. Problems are 10x harder than examples. Explanations are horribly taken out and this won't serve you any good. Lots of typos and the answer key is just numbers. Not anything that explains why the answer is that. The only time it was a little bit good was the first chapter (a little useful techniques in basic linear algebra even though its like 10 pages) but the others are garbage. Pros: (the Ns) -not bad shipping (arrived really good) -not the worst basic linear algebra techniques (as mentioned above only 10 pages-ish) Cons: (the Hs) -Horrible examples -Horrible explanations -Horrendously Bad Answer key -Horrific example-answer difficulty level. CONCLUSION: I have bought Algebra I and Trig as well and wasted all my money. McGraw-Hill is a terrible textbook series and if I were you I would just get a list of topics to learn and watch youtube or buy a shaums outline series (as a supplement(workbook), not a full textbook.) So yeah... DO NOT BUY PLEASE.

Decent review, typos aside
Overall good clear practice if you need a refresher ...but you have to play close attention because there are many typos and small errors in the book that could throw you off if you don't double check things
