Cool design, fun to build, working solar car
The media could not be loaded. Very pleased. Bought it as used, no missing parts, and the wooden parts are even still wrapped. Building difficulty is reasonable, I spent several hours and got a sore thumb, but the result is pretty good. Some parts are really intricate, but the cutting is accurate, and the wooden boards are strong enough, so no signicant splinter. But it's for sure a teen or even adult project. It starts moving immediately under winter morning California sun. Kids are really excited about it. The solar panel is just strong enough to move it on a fairly smooth surface. A thin layer of cloud or any shade can stop the car. The vedio shows the car can be controlled by shadow. :D

Best instructions in the biz
Best instructions of any wooden models I’ve assembled: clear, precise, in color. These were fairly intricate models, sometimes 10 or more pieces for a small, mostly cosmetic piece. But they fit together easily and all my gears worked perfectly. Solar panels are weak but mine worked under direct sunlight right away.

Difficult, but fun!
It is amazing when assembled, my twelve years old loved it.Some pieces are losses fitting than expected, therefore required some glueing.Totally recommend it.

Great for those who enjoyed legos as a kid, and those who can be careful!!
These models made the perfect gift for my husband. He loves everything space related and was a LEGO kid growing up. I told him he would need to be quite gentle with these parts (as reviews mentions they break easily) and as someone who has a hard time being a gentle giant, his big hands are able to handle the small parts with care and mindfulness. He is overjoyed with these models and can’t wait to display them at work!

Something different as a gift
This will make a great gift for a girl or a guy. Giving this to my nephew for his 13th birthday. I like the fact that it is a 3D puzzle. Everything is in the box, right down to the sand paper.

These are amazing
I bought these for my 14 year old son. We have bought more expensive wooden build projects before that were flimsy and we ended up having to scotch tape them together.. These are very sturdy and very well made. I have to be honest we wish there were more kits than the 2 we have found. My son also has the battalion ones and plays with them often. You can't beat these at all and like I said were less expensive than others we have had in the past. Thanks Nat Geo for another amazing toy/kit.

Fun & Fairly Easy!
My husband LOVED this set! Even though he’s a big guy with large hands he was able to assemble the rovers pretty easily. Good quality and he said removing the individual parts from the sheets was easier than he thought it would be. Thanks so much!!

Fun but pieces are easy to break
I bought this for my 9 years old. He loved it the panel was working as well. However because there are quite a few tiny and thin wood pieces, they are fragile. My son broke the “umbrella” thing on the moon buggy, and another pieces on the Mars rover during the building. It’s a fun toy. Even though he could manage it, I can tell this one is a bit challenging to his age.
