Bulletproof

It was an ok read . Kind of boring in a way . I don't like to not finish a book , so that was the reason why I finished it . It was a lot about "feelings". A lot about trials and tribulations of her relationships with the men she dated while on the show . No elaboration into anything , really. Not really any inside gossip either . Everything was written as if she knew one day her son was going to read it , and she wanted to give the impression she was a perfect single mom. Nothing really exciting about the book , very mediocre, and lacks real passion . I thought the poetry was a little weird . The book also jumped around a lot and there wasn't a very good flow to it. I could positively tell this was her first written book. If someone asked me if they should buy it I'd respond "meh"

I alongside every other young girl in the nation started watch Teen Mom when the series first aired.One of my favorites was Maci Bookout. I felt like despite being pregnant at a young age, she was the one who would continue to excel through life and do what's best for both her and her baby. And she did!Now a Mother of three and a fiancée to an amazing guy, she has hit the ultimate personal goal for herself.This book shared all of her thoughts from being a teen mom, to relationships, PCOS and pregnancy struggles, etc.I highly recommend.Oh, and her poems in some of the chapters are absolutely beautiful and flow so eloquently.

The reader gets a glimpse of the real Maci, not just the person portrayed on the screen. Maci seems like a tough, no-nonsense, straight forward type of person. This book shows her real emotions and thoughts, and that although she is ‘bulletproof’ she does struggle and have hardships. Being a Teen Mom myself, I understand a lot Of the hardships, from ‘what am I going to tell my parents?’ to ‘What will everyone say and think?’ and dealing with people talking behind my back, and the isolation. Overall, I highly recommend this book because it opens up about just how hard being a Teen Mom and parenting can be.

I love reading the things we can't hear on TV. The lessons you learned from your mom inspire me to continue to teach my daughter the same things. This is a truly great read and Mavi writes in a way that makes it flow. Great book and great insight into your life.

I LOVE trash TV and teen mom. I was super excited to read this as Maci is my favorite mom... unfortunately Maci is not a great writer. The book was simply written with no surprises or new glimpses into her life. The book was basically a timeline review of the show.

I loved this book ! This book was so amazing and it reminded me of everything that can go wrong as a teenager. I was a teen mom myself. I had 4 babies and was married by the time i was 21. This young girls courage and strength is outstanding and this book offers a real good insight to what it is truly like to be young and a mother.

Loved reading this book! It was nice being able to see things from a different perspective. It was wonderful reading!

This was a great book by an amazing young lady. I was already impressed with her from MTV. She proves herself to be such a great mother. Bentley is adorable. This book only reinforces that for me. We should ALL have such a great attitude as she does. My daughter is now reading her book. Maci you have done an excellent job showing that teen motherhood is not easy. I see that you always put your son's needs first. That is what an excellent mother does. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I wish you only the best.

I really enjoyed Maci's story and learned much more about her as a person and her morals/values through the book more so than on the TV. Excellent encouragement for any teen mum. Loved her unbiased opinion regarding her previous relationships. Definitely worth reading.

I have read a few of the teen mom books and as a fan of the shows I found this book very interesting. Maci has been through a lot more than MTV have shown and she has remained grounded throughout. A great read!

I really enjoyed the book but there were a few sections where the wrong word was used. I suppose just a little better proof reading was required but that's just me being pedantic. I really enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend if this is the type of book to grab you.

Enjoyed reading it, I couldn't put the book down. Some parts where a bit slow but overall a good read
