Veken Replacement Pump for Cat Water Fountain Pet Fountain Ultra Quiet Long Lifespan Water Pump with Adaptor and 6 ft Power Cable

I bought this as a replacement for our pet fountain July 2023. The original pump only lasted about 6 months. After a little bit of a too rigorous cleaning yesterday this pump finally stopped working.So why five stars? Becuase this pump made it 16 months of us regularly doing everything the instructions tell you not to. We did not use a filter, let it run with too little or no water atleast once a week, usually for several days at a time. The original pump sounded like a dying hyena when it ran low, but this pump just keeps trying to do it's job, quiet as a whisper. For $12, this thing took our abuse for darn near a year and a half. I just placed an order for another one, becuase I fully intend on not following the instructions again and I know this pump can take it.

The pump that came with the fountain worked for nearly two years. I cleaned it monthly by taking it apart as instructed and rinsing it out. Instructions for this are good and easy to follow. But, alas, it died and I had to replace it. This replacement didn't make it four months. I gave it the same care. The plug has changed. It is not a USB cord that plugs into the outlet. That might be the issue but none of the USB cords I have work with the pump/plug for the fountain so I can't test it. I am disappointed that the pump didn't last all that long.

I bought this as the motor on the water fountain broke after 3 months. Despite my effort the take the non-functional motor apart per instructions, it did not work. Since I was unable to find the same model,I just bought the motor. I also bought 2 more motors for a 2nd fountain w the same issue & a back-up motor.

But I was able to modify the dish itself and it works like a charm. My original dish had a piece of tubing that this didnt coem with but the old on fit it, so its pretty standard otherwise as for did it work as a replacement to the bowl. This the second motor this bowl has had. We've had the bowl over ten years now. My only other complaint on the whole system is the filter. Your pet deserves fresh water every day. If you cant be here to replace their water at LEAST one time a day, you should not have a pet. That being said the filter system on these things are a joke. They dont work, as a matter of fact they make the water worse. Just watch it for a day and tell me that your filter isnt the slimiestly compomnenet in the bowl. Use the charcoal pre filter to protect the pump and pitch the rest of the filtering system and just change the water 1 or 2 x a day and you have the best filtered water for your furbabies. Things dont need to be so complicated to work! As always Easy Does It! Enjoy

I understand that products don't last forever but I've order this product four times. The first two pumps lasted at least a year each, which I can handle. But the last two lasted a few weeks. I replaced the third one with a fourth one and now that one stopped working and it's just barely past the return date. The products have gotten worse over time. I would not order these again from this vendor.

This was a great find! When our cat's water fountain stopped working, I thought I'd have to throw it away and get a new one. Then I saw this and what an easy and less expensive fix! And we got it overnight as well! Thanks, Amazon!

Works perfectly and it's powered by 5V DC, rather than AC like my previous one.My previous one worked for 4 years until the pump impeller just shattered.Easy replacement. This one fit perfectly. It was only when purchasing this that I learned that people complained of it not working after some time.CLEAN IT THOROUGHLY! ITS NOT BROKEN!Do not return or replace yours just because it doesn't work. Tolerances for these things are tight, and any small amount of hair or sludge buildup on the impeller will cause it to stop rotating.All it needs is a cleaning. Do yourself, your wallet, and the earth a favor by cleaning your pumps periodically, instead of trashing or returning them.All else aside, great product!

I have used the Veken automatic cat waterer ( older version- plastic ) and it has run nonstop since January of 2020! 4 years! Recently the pump finally did wear out, even with proper cleaning. I am very impressed with this product. Also the company makes a replacement pump so you are not throwing the entire unit away and can still use your old style filters buy just replacing the pump which is super easy! A quick fix and it is up and running again and all my filters still fit and I didn't add any plastic to the landfill. Great product Veken~ keep up the good work!
